PSI For Stock Pirellis?

I have a v6 but got some stock GT tires. What PSI do you guys fill it to? I know the max PSI says 51 but I was told not to fill them that much. Also, my door jam says 35 PSI but that is for my stock Michelin energy saver tires. Thanks guys!

It should be the same 35psi. Most wheels and tires are recommended to that.

When I had my 19" TrakPak wheels and tires I ran 35psi all the time.

Don't see what's wrong with 36psi.......I run that in my 285x35/20's.

36 is fine for the street, if you want a bit more responsiveness, put in 40-42 psi. That will liven the car up, but will cause more noise and more harshness (stiffens the sidewall).

Anything between 32-36 is fine for the street.

My 2014 GT door jamb says 32 PSI and it came with the stock Pirellis you're referring too.

32psi was always a little too soft for my liking. Since I rotate my tires (used to but now that I have staggered wheels and tires it doesn't work) every 5000 miles and the wear was even although my caster/camber was set on the high/low side of factory specs and I was using 36psi as a baseline.

Olerodder , I also have staggered wheels . Is it normal to get really bad wear on the outside of your tires or could this be a setup issue ?

If the tires are wearing on one edge of the front tires I would say it's a camber issue and you need to get into an alignment shop.
On the outer edge could mean the camber is positive....the top of the tire is further out than the bottom of the tire...or tilted out from the car rather than tilted in.
My suggestion would be to visit a good line-up shop soon.

Take a look at this web page to help identify what type of wear you have.

Ok that makes sense , I think I'm having major alignment issues . Feathering not the front with outside edge wear on the rear .

Ok, what Mustang do you have?
You are saying that the rear tires are wearing on the outside edge or are they feathering?
Do you have an adjustable pan hard bar?

2012 gt manual with eibach racing springs . Had it for two years now , bought it used with 10 k on it and I'm beginning to think the last owner lowered it not really knowing anything about suspension because the car rides very rough and is sitting on the rubber bumpers . I don't think that's normal ? Also I occasionally notice rubber marks on inside of my rear fender ... Probably not normal also .

I assume the springs are Sportlines...right.
How about sending some pictures of your car.
If they were Eibach's and put in as a kit they come with new bump stops. The Eibach bump stops are not black like the OE, they are kind of cream color..at least mine were.
What kind of tires/wheels do you have on the car.
When I lowered mine I had the stock Brembo wheels, then changed to a set of 2014 OE GT500 wheels, fronts are 19x9.5 with 265x40x19's, and the rears are 20x9.5 with 285x35x20's. The offset of the rear wheels could be the issue. My front wheels have a 44mm offset and the rears are 50mm offset.
Do you have an adjustable pan hard bar?

Ok, looking at the pictures you have a serious problem as the springs seem to be in "coil bind".....meaning they are fully compressed. I assume the car is sitting on the ground...at ride height...right?
With the springs like this you basically have no springs and I would assume the car rides like a lumber wagon.
Here is a picture of mine I just took in the garage....the car is sitting at ride height will all four tires on the ground. Notice the space in between the coils.

Haha yes you said it ! It rides so hard it's not even funny .Where would I even start with the suspension? I'm assuming it needs an overhaul and start from ground zero

The first place I'd start is the get the car up in the air and let the axle hang down. To do this it would nice to be able to use a two post lift.....if not then you need to jack the car up and support it on jack stands which are under the body, not the rearend. This will allow the rearend to droop down....you can get underneath...with the car fully supported and wheels chocked.....and see what is going on.
Without seeing whats going on I can't understand why the springs are so compressed.....get it up in the air and take some pictures.

I'd do this ASAP as something is not right and could be damaging the rear suspension.
How does the front look????
