I like that!

Dual purpose:

His SS.

My wife immediately said "his SS" and said she didn't like it...hahahaha. I told her I meant the sound of a snake! She finally bought it, or she's just letting me think she bought it. As long as she doesn't read this thread I'm ok.

I'm thinking I may name the car "Miss Hisss". I like the other suggestions (Lucifer is pretty cool but I would think I'm tempting fate naming my car after the devil). I had a friend say Miss Hisss and it immediately rang a bell in my head.

On the wife not liking "his SS" I think you know where I'm going with this.
Get "her SS" 👍

Would be willing to bet, ( but too lazy to check ), that there is a GT500, Cobra, or a Viper in every state with the " Hisss " plate.
For a unique car such as yours, I think you should think a little harder !!

HISSS and HERSS....ouch, I'd have to mortgage the house! Actually, maybe I buy a 2015 stock GT used and build one myself now that I know what goes into it. Won't be a Shelby but would have 750hp. That actually may be a fun project and would give me something to really beat on....but with my schedule she'd be waiting about 2 years for me to finish turning all the bolts.

Believe it or not but the license plate is available and I've already ordered it. Can always change it later. Plus, I don't think I'm that witty to come up with anything better at this point

Miss Prisss....that would really get me in a lot of trouble with the wife hahaha...A LOT...luckily for me she isn't one.

Well today is the big day.........................Drive safely !!
Maybe if the OP can pry his hands of the steering wheel, we'll get some 1st driving impressions.
Also interested in the build quality, etc.......Fresh pics would be a bonus..

Build quality generally is excelent. The clear bra is awesome. Vinyl stripes look like painted, I really wish they were painted. Don't like the guage housing. When one comes out for the driver side windshield pillar I'm going to swap it out. The slottted and drilled brake rotors do make a little noise when applied but the work awesome. Lets just say stopping isn't a problem. The rollbar is nice. The hood fit is good. Paint quality is perfect (was worrying about that but didn't have to ). The car handles like a slot car on the road. Going to the track tomorrow where it really gets run....and won't have the wives to limit the fun.

Unfortunately can't post pics or vids from an android phone to the site. Think its time for the site administrator to move the site into the 21st century.

Unfortunately they didn't dyno it. I was told the car is rated at 750hp+ and Shelby doesn't dyno individual cars. Thats that. Obviously, the owner is free to dyno it themselves. Now, with that said, one will be told on the QT that the protype car is 825HP. And, the production cars are clones.

The 10 hours I spent today with the Shelby team was nothing short of amazing. Much of it was spent with Vince LaViolette and Gary Pattterson. These two guys are incredible both for their passion and their racing abilities. The new Terlingua they have designed eats up its competition. Watching these guys run Shelby Super Snakes was sick. No matter what anyone thinks, Shelby is building specially designed, custom fabricated, flat out race cars.

I have about 5 hours of video and hundreds of pictures. I can't wait to get home, finish editing, and post the best of these vids and pics.

As I learned today, there is non-stop testing and development on Shelby cars. The parts they source from other manufacturers are all built to Shelby-only specifications. These two guys prototype again and again until they have the perfect car, then they tell the parts manufacturers what to build.

After today running about 100 laps myself and then both watching and riding with Vince and Gary,I am so impressed with these cars. I can't wait to show you guys the vids and pics.

Yes crank. I'm going to dyno it this summer and then I'll hav real numbers crank and wheels.

Leaving sunny and 70's is tough. Gave the car a kiss when I left her at Shelby. Sad day.

Here are a few pics. I'm working on a video. The vid footage is pretty awesome. can't wait to have that done and uploaded. Pics aren't perfect. Need to do some photoshop work to remove reflections in the car, but wanted to get them on the site. So I decided not to wait until I had a chance to get that done.

Made this pic into a poster and had the entire Shelby team sign it. When I get that back from the framing shop I'll put up a pic. It's really cool to see a full-size poster of your own car with a whole bunch of signatures.

That thing definitely takes the title "Coolest S550 on the forum" by far. At least in my book.

Unfortunately not. It's on the dash. I've asked them to reserve one for me when they come out. I'd like to delete the dash gauge package.
