It's a waste of money. The race spec is not needed. Driver mod is free

All you need it the metal shifter arm bushing from them and a Barton.

I have a friend who did the same thing to his Barton and said the same thing , do you agree that this is the way to go rather than spending the extra cash on a race spec ?

I spent the extra money because I've felt both the Barton and MGW. the deciding factor that made me suede towards the MGW was that the Barton still bolts to the body made me steer away from it.

Yes. You have to call mgw to order it. It cost $30. Takes About a hour to install it on jack stands.

It will be loud still. Magnaflows cats are barely a cat imo. As far as the x pipe it's top notch.
I'm running the off-road version.
Yes you will pick up a little but you will still fail emissions with there cats. So I would just go off-road and swap to your stock midpipe for emissions

Yes. They have to be tuned like a off-road x. But depending on how your tune is it may already have the rear o2's disabled.

Mgw race spec shifter

I think this is relevant. Rap, my shifter in my Roush has been giving me issues lately. Having difficult going into 2 and 3 only sometimes. I was thinking of a MGW bushing and a steel clutch line. Would that fix it? I talked to our local trans shops and they all said the trial and error scenario. I'm not wanting to go down that road. We don't mess with trans very much so I'm not very familiar in this area.

Pick your poison.

Check your clutch. May be time to replace it.
Last time you did a fluid change?
I'm not a 100% MGW makes a bushing for it unless you already have there shifter. May be wrong on that one though.

Mgw race spec shifter

I thought that but it even does it with the clutch fully engaged. Normally in the cooler months when the car is cold, easy driving, it happens often. More spirited driving it does it often. It's happened several times this summer and it's starting to annoy me. Grinds trying to go in gear, with clutch fully engaged. 3rd is the worst with 2nd only happening every once and awhile. But I'll give the clutch a second look again. Needs to be upgraded anyway when the longtubes/off-road and cams come in.
Edit: Forgot VMP's pullie too. And I was thinking it might be a Synchro in the trans that's getting worn, sound like a possibility? But I'll get the clutch a second look.

I drove down to MGW and had George install mine back at the end of July. Three days later I drove home to Illinois, about a thousand miles from va beach. I love this shifter and I have no more grinding and haven't had one lockout since, it's awesome. I couldn't do it in my driveway because I don't have one since I live in an apartment but it was worth the drive plus I like to drive anyway which is why I drove home to Illinois vice flying. I'm happy and would have no problem forking over the funds again with a different vehicle when that time comes.
