No paint is good long term on ABS plastic. It always eventually chips off and looks like ****. When the factory paints a plastic part, they add a flex agent to the paint similar to what they use on a bumper cap, to maintain a little forgiveness. Nothing out of a can is going to have this.
As always, good surface prep, quality primer and properly applied light coats will give the best results possible.
