What kind of paint for grille? Krylon or Rustoleum

Trying to paint a front grille, which is best for ABS plastic?
I narrowed it down Krylon and Rustoleum.

What color do you want and what color is it now?
If you want black you might consider Plasti dip. Very forgiving.
If a custom color, best to let a pro do it.

No paint is good long term on ABS plastic. It always eventually chips off and looks like ****. When the factory paints a plastic part, they add a flex agent to the paint similar to what they use on a bumper cap, to maintain a little forgiveness. Nothing out of a can is going to have this.

As always, good surface prep, quality primer and properly applied light coats will give the best results possible.

Not totally true. Yes most look like crap because most people have not clue that you cannot paint plastic like you can metal.

OP, prep the plastic you want to paint by cleaning it with dish soap and removing any and all oils or amor all type products. scuff everything up with a scotch bright pad. Make sure it is clean and free of debris. Then hit it with an adhesion promoter. Once you do this you can immediately primer the part and then continue painting it as if it were anything else. Take your time and ensure you do multiple light coats and your part will turn out as good as the effort you put into it.

I'd probably go with the krylon fusion for plastic. I've had good luck with it on painting plastics and holding up, granted not car parts. Follow the above for cleaning and prep.
