Push start ignition probems

I followed the manual step by step for a proper installation.
(SHR illuminated Push Start ignition kit)

After I finished, the trac control and advance control lights remain on for some reason. I diagnosed the computer with my SCT tuner and no codes generated after diagnosis.

Has anyone had this problem? the only fuse removed was #31 which apparently was supposed to be for the Air Bag.

Please help me solve this issue.

Disconnect your battery for about 30 mins, see if that solves the issues. Could also be a loose connection somewhere

Don't you still need the key turned to start it?

unfortunately yes, the key needs to be in the ignition to start it. The addition was just for looks. System is stable now, somehow the lights just disappeared and trac control is working again.

Why not just get a fake button?

I would laugh at someone if they had to put their key in, then do a push start.
It is actually more work to start the car lol

FACtory push start...

My Wifes Honda S2000 was a factory Key / Push start.. I never did understand why.
You could not start car with the key either..
Basically you put key in, turned it for power and then push start on the car..
It was neat for push start but again factory key and button?
She was jealous when i get the Nissan with a Key FOB, no key and get in, push start and go! LOL

When I did remote starts at Best Buy as a kid, there was a bypass module for some cars. You put the second key inside it, it read the chip inside and sent the signal to the security module to start it up. It would be great is someone made a kit that would allow a bluetooth signal to do the same thing. That way everyone could start their car with a push button.

Anyone want to invest? Haha!

True Keyless start and doors

I found what i want, a true keyless system. It called digital guard dawg.

Digital Guard Dawg - Keyless Ignition* RFID Push Button Start systems

I cant find anyone in the Nashville, TN / Huntsville, AL / Florance, AL area that installs them. I would also need a price on install.
The kit i want is now... 797.00

Anyone else have it?
