Choices with $500.00

Trying to decide between the following options and looking for opinions. I have roughly $500.00 set aside for some extras and these were what I was looking at. Keep in mind the car is a weekend car and isn't driven much.

Gt500 front end kit: upper and lower grille w/cervinis chin spoiler

Silver horse racing flush louvers

Mgw race spec shifter.

Do you drive the car aggressively or have problems with the stock shifter? Then get the MGW. Otherwise I would go the appearance route with the louvers.

I honestly have not had problems with the shifter but I have changed the shifter on every mustang I have owned. Just about every stock shifter can stand to be cleaned up a bit.

I'd go MGW. That's my next big purchase.

Why not save a little more and get a single drive shaft? I always say go for a mod that can beef up the performance.

Anything performance wise you can get with $500? Not sure what all you have done.

I agree with these guys tho on the shifter. MGW Race Spec shifter to lock in the shifter with the trans an eliminate slop/binding and then the $20 Whiteline bushing insert to keep the trans itself from moving around so much.

I was thinking of holding off on the shifter so I could do that with the driveshaft at the same time.

Do you have to remove the crossmember or drop anything to do the DS? If you do that might be a good idea but if not...

I haven't changed my ds yet but it looks straight forward. Doesn't seem like I have to remove anything to get to it. Might have to remove some part of exhaust or clamps but that's about it.

well I think it is first to decide performance or appearance. I do one, then other, then back and so on usually. so if you decide appearance I would do fron end I dont think anything looks meaner. I have the CDC upper because I did before Cirvini came out but I like it. I did Cirvini lower a couple weeks ago but I have Roush splitter. Makes for a mean look I think.

That looks really good I think this is the route I may go. Waiting to hear back from Alex at American muscle.

This! The CDC or Cervinis Upper with the Cervinis GT500 style lower and a splitter/front spoiler makes the whole front look amazing. I used the Cervinis Upper because it comes with mesh backing. After install, the overall blackness of the grill sometimes makes it hard to tell what lines it has, so for now I made the mesh backing a grey color. Makes the black shape of the grill stand out more but I think my grey is too light. I need to find a slightly darker grey for the mesh.
OR
GT500 style racing stripes?
Mine were $500 for 3M gunmetal metallic material and installation at a local vehicle graphic shop.
Just don't buy $500 worth of plasti dip

That gets me thinking maybe color matching the mesh to the sterling gray color I have the paint in a spray can. Our leave it black. I plan on doing an offset matte black racing stripe with a red pin strip in it to match the 5.0 badges down the road.

I'm with Sterlingbeast5.0. With a $500 budget, go appearance. The MGW is a nice shifter, that's why I have one, but if you only take the car out on weekends, you'd want to be noticed. IMHO, a front end has more impact than quarter window louvers.

Here is a picture of my Roush grilles and chin splitter.

Reason I like the 11/12 front better, all it needs is the CDC splitter and no smiley face lower grille.

Its a splitter that attaches to the stock 10-12 bumper. Looks really good, they make them for 05-09s too which also makes that bumper look mean as hell.

Your Roush front looks cray good tho.

I love the looks of it too. I feel like it's missing something I don't know if it's the hood that makes it seem that way or if I need a diff splitter

Are you still on stock suspension? If so, id spend that 500 towards a set of lowering springs, LCA bracket and control arm.

Car is not lowered and it most likely will never be lowered. I personally love the lowered look but my left knee is not up to the task after knee surgery when I was younger.

Man what a difference stripes make sometimes! In my opinion this is the best looking, cleanest color combo Mustang! I keep kicking myself for having to get a black one now. I was after the badass stealthy look but there's just something about a white Mustang with those blue stripes! Here's my all time favorite Mustang color and configuration.
*OP, keep in mind that if you go with the Cervinis GT500 style upper to get the mesh also, install requires removing enitre front bumper cover....which is actually no big deal and once you do it, you could do it again in 10 minutes.
