Mid Atlantic Performance

I have to go to Richmond once or twice a year and was thinking of taking my car to Mid Atlantic Performance for a dyno tune.
I've sent them a couple of emails and got no response.
I was in Richmond Tuesday and Wednesday and drove by where the shop was supposed to be and couldn't find it.
Anyone know if they moved, went out of business, suffered Nuclear Holocaust?
They are supposedly the place for auto's
Thanks!

Mike Rousch is an excellent tuner but has some of the worst customer service going. I've seen whole threads dedicated on how to get ahold of him. So if you don't need a revision I say go for it. Otherwise you will have problems.

I recommend Lund. Very good customer service and a great tune. What else could you want?

Mid Atlantic

Yea, I thought I could do it next spring when the pro cal warranty runs out and he was supposed to be the guy for auto's.
There is a local guy here, Wolfpack Speed I may look into, but certainly Lund or AED.
are options.
Thanks

DTP racing in Chesepeake VA. Brent Hughes is awesome! He got my car running like a beast. And drives so much better. Take your car to him you wont be disappointed. I have been to two other Mustang performance shops and their tuning sucked.

Midatlantic

The reason I was thinking about midatlantic is because I'd be there anyhow and could drive the car to him.
If I was going to the outer banks I might consider somebody in Chesapeake but that's an awful far trip from Pittsburgh and there are a lot of reputable tuners who will remote tune based on data logs

Next time you are in Richmond, I would look up Kevin at Performance Autosport. They do the tuning for most of the NASA road racers on the east coast, who need a lot more in depth work than pretty much anyone else.

Proving to my fellow racers that the disdain that some GT drivers have for V6 drivers is unfounded, one results archive at a time since 2013.

Chris has a loyal following, been doing this for years. He has a dyno and does great tunes.

I wound up getting a custom tune from BAMA. I too was going to go with Mid Atlantic but heard of all the problems getting ahold of him so took a pass. By the way the V2 BAMA tune is excellent and backed by American Muscle customer service has not been an issue.

I have both Bama & Mike roush. I run the roush tune 100% of the time. I email him 2 weeks ago and he wrote back within 24 hours with a paragraph. I'm still yet to do the "Bama vs roush" tune at the track to see what's better but the seat of the pants goes to Mike.

More response, nice idling, shifts are very firm and precise without any annoying jerkiness (I'm talking with an automatic of course). From other Mustang owners I've talked to those were the 3 main things some of the V1 tuned cars complained about. Also afew guys who went from the V1 to the V2 said it was as good as any of the other tunes out there. I'm talking guys that have more tune experience than I do. My car picked up 4 tenths in the Qtr and 3 mph in speed. As far as t-shirts go, I guess I got hosed. Did'nt get one!!

My Bama tune dropped 3 tenths off my 1/4 mile in similar air. Shifted nice and firm. Coming from GM cars. I have never seen a car pick up performace like that from just a canned tune. So i thought the Bama tuning was pretty decent. I didnt care if it wasnt the most aggressive tuning but it might be stupid but at the time the reason i chose to go Bama is because of the cylinder 8 issues and their "warranty". Lol! And they actually have made good on it at least once i know of.

Still waiting for a accomplishment that made as a tuning company.

I get that there is a few people out there with good results. That's good I'm glad people have decent tunes from them.
But I want to hear something they have done that makes them stand out.

They dont stand out... they are just ok. They market to a wide audience with their corny videos. And people love that stuff. And it works for them.

Well I have to ask. Exactly what great accomplishment are you looking for??? What is it the other tuners have done that Bama has failed to do??

OK, let's change the subject.
RAP, you have short tube headers, tune for E85 and nitrous.
Are you on stock rods, piston crank?
What nitrous shot? E85, bigger injectors and is the fuel pump capable of moving enough fuel.
Any idea on tuners in PA who might be equipped to handle tuning E85. I got a guy not far from me who's got a shop I'm might try him if I go E85 route.
Warranty from Ford racing (have pro cal) is up next spring so was looking at making some changes then, but also may go with roush supercharger too.
Don't know weighing options.

Oh. Get real. A tune that picks up 3 or 4 tenths was a pretty good return on investment.

Big bucs!
I remember seeing you had 20 k in the motor, are you running a turbo too or just 300 nitrous?
If I go with up to 100 on stock internals am I safe or am I better off going with a supercharger?

I have over 20k In stuff to the car.
Motor has a little over 6k in it.

Just nitrous.

100 shot is fine.
