Forget a 5.0 fusion. Bring the supercharged 5.0 Falcon back from the dead (just stopped production in Australia now).

OP, If you want a sexy, muscle car that screams awesomeness and looks like a beast, get the Boss. If you want some euro looking , soft looking sports car that has a fugly rear end then go with the S550 model. If you want euro pussyfied looking car that calls itself a mustang, The 2015 is your car.

Non 🍼and non 🌽fed. I $uck!

So you don't like the new one? I am not sure from your response here. Can you clarify and tell us how you really feel?

Gotta have a sense of humor here --- glad to see you do too..........

Now, when it comes to the styling of the various years, there are a few that I don't like as well. The 1971 body style almost makes me gag, but you also have to place it in its timeline.............lots of early 70's cars, looking back at them from here, got whacked with the ugly stick. The Pinto-based Mustang II years were simply an embarrassment for anything called a "Mustang" and for Ford. The King Cobra of those years is the high point of rediculousness.

Ba ha ha ha. Yes sir. Gotta have a sense of humor. In regard to the 2015 model, its just not my type of girl. Its not what I expect in the looks department on an American ironic pony car. It hasn't grown on me a bit and in fact gets uglier and uglier every time I look at that rear end. And sinse those bastards are so quick I get to see a lot of those ugly a$$ ends. Ha ha

Pay no mind to Kona, he's been a hater to the S550 since day one.

For some reason I am attached to the 71 body style.... I don't know why but if I could afford one (Kidney on Ebay...lol) then that would be one of the keepers for me. I try to not think about the M 2 model. I am not a huge fan of the King Cobra but in some ways, it has a look that makes me follow it... 2004 Mach 1 and 2000 Cobra make me tingly inside. lol

Well, Kona........that you like the 1971 body style and the King Cobra pretty much explains everything to me as to what you like. Both of those make me think of mullets --- and yes, I am afraid to ask...........

What's funny to me is that guard you don't care for the 71 mustang yet I feel the s550 pulls styling cues straight from that body style. Yet you have and love your s550

Kona hates the s550 yet likes the 71.

First thing that came to my mind the first time I saw a s550 was eww looks like a 71-73 mustang.

I'd have to see them side by side to see what you might mean as far as similarities. I don't see it --- especially with the profile of our convertible....
Nope, don't see it at ALL!

Are you sure you are wearing your glasses? There is not a similar panel, line, light, proportion, or.........wait a minute.....they ARE the same color, and faced in the same direction.

Still a good looking car, even if it was a biggie. Boss 351 was a gnarly car. 351 CJ was cool too.

Well, now that we have completely sidetracked this thread............sorry OP>>>>>>>>>>>

Yes, they both have side windows, but ALL Mustangs (with the exception of the M2) have been long hood, short deck. It's endemic to all pony cars..........just not as loooooooooooooooooooong as the '71.
I wonder, if you measured from the very front of the engine to the very front tip of the bumper if it was close to 6 feet.....has to be.

There is a Blue Mustang (Might be a 71) that does take a bit of space up at the weekend car show. I might snap a picture if I remember to...

I don't mean for me to sound as like I am picking on S550 guys but here is what I am a fan of:
Interior Switches
1964 Badge on Passenger side dash
Has a V8 (Did I mention 5.0?? lol)
Some of the rim packages

What I don't like on the S550:
Headlights (looks like they borrowed some from a BMW)
Roof Line (looks like a bubble car now)
No upper grille fog lights
Faux badge
Taillights (I feel like they borrowed them from a movie set)
Console lid shape (I am picky)
Too much chrome stuff on interior
Push Button start (I am old fashioned and like an actual key)
USB placement in front of shifter to the left (I like mine in the console)
This is the car that I am basing my observations off of. I went and looked at this exact one since I happen to be right down the road from McRee.

So is the circle shaped badge you are talking about the 50th anniversary emblem? Or a lack of one besides the anniversary edition?

You have to admit. At least I'm consistent and don't flip flop. Yes, I have been a hater since day one of the new mustang design. Maybe some day I will get on board with the new euro sports car mustang but today is not that day. 😆

Don't take what I said personal. What you have done with your 3.7 car is different and it makes it yours.
Personally if I didn't get a V8 I would of gone twin turbo setup with some good handling on the 3.7
