Wider isn't always better, I'd say. Quality of tread and compound can go a long way. Depends on what you're looking to do with the car.

I have 275's in the rear, but I'm lowered 1.5" all around and the offset of my wheels won't allow me to go much wider without rubbing. I could probably fit a 285 but it would be close. Fitting a tire will be wheel offset and suspension dependent...

I think I'm lowered 1.5 myself by roush. U don't seem to have a big gap though from the top. Why is that?

40 sidewall. Most guys go with a 35, but that's just not enough with the craters I have to deal with in Western MA. It sits damn near perfect to me. Any lower and I'd be rubbing.

$1000 to spend

You can fit up to a 325 (depending on how wide your wheels are) out back and 28" tall.

This ^ and like I said, offset of the wheel has to be taken into account when going super wide.

It says it on the tire. The side will say something like 245/40/19 or so. The first is the width, 2nd number is the sidewall height, and the third is for the rim size.

I thought those numbers were for the tire that was in the wheel

Tire in the wheel?

EDIT: misread post.

Ford rims are usually 8.5 or 8 wide.

Depends on tire brand. You could fit a 305 nitto on them with no problem.

+1. You could go pretty wide with those particular wheels.

Could someone tell me if a 13 gt came with an adjustable rear Panhard bar? I noticed that my car has been lowered bc I doubt they came with blue springs and it just sits a lot lower.

That would be pointless if the rest of the car is stock. But to each his own.

Rap, what do you think of bama tunes? This is the only forum where people have recommended a tune from bama. Over at SVTP, the usual recommendation is a tune either from Lund, AED or Mike Rousch.

Best bang for buck as far as power mods go would be x-pipe and tune. Depending on cost of tune and a used xpipe, I would get an mgw shifter too.

I do not care for bama. I lost a lot more respect for them after the whippled 2015.

$1000 to spend

Bc they lied a lot about it once the built motor and whipple went in it.
They should have gave credit to the right shop.

Again this is bama. No hate towards AM.

Also this is all old news lol. I Just have not started it here
