Barton shifter or just bracket

I am debating getting the Barton short throw shifter with two post bracket to smooth out the shifts but I was wondering if just getting the two post bracket would work well enough since it's 200$ cheaper than buying it with the bracket. What do you guys recommend?

I've got that shifter. And I own the bracket. I was in the driveway and my crappy jack only goes so high. Was enough room to mess with the Allen screws. So for now the stock bracket went back on. It's pretty awesome. Reverse is a mother. That's my only complaint.

I have the Barton bracket (not two post) and it has greatly improved the stock shifter. Well worth the $65. I don't race or anything so I am completely happy with just the bracket and have no need or desire for a shorter throw.

I have just the bracket which made a nice improvement, but I picked up a New in the box MGW 2014 revision shifter for $225 shipped.

I would get both, I have the 2 post and it didn't really helped a lot when going hard on the gears. I still get locked on 3rd gear.

The last model before the race came out. I picked mine up on the classified section of another Mustang forum. I find 2-3 a week being listed.

I installed the bracket and Barton shifter on my 2013 Boss and it has worked great. I've never missed a gear since the installation. Reverse takes a little effort but once you get used to it no problem. I would definitely recommend it

Shifter Question!

I have a question that will be quick for any of you who know what you're looking for; is this the stock shifter for the GT premium or is it a short-throw? If needed, I can take the boot off the shifter and find out for myself. I have done a little bit of browsing but haven't found anything clear yet regarding only the shift knob. I got his car a few weeks ago and so far, I love it!

The ball is premium. You'll have to pull the console and have a look at the shifter. Only takes a min.

I pulled the console and its definitely a stock one. I was hopeful, but I will likely add a short-throw at some point in the future.
