You are so right. I did some research and I see exactly what you're talking about. I'm not buying from them. I'd rather pay a higher price from a company I've dealt with already.

I knew there was something I was forgetting lol. I've ordered thousands of dollars worth of parts from AM and I don't think I've ever used the discount code once lol

They should just sticky that install info. Did you submit a guide to Am? You might get some money off of it

What you are left with:
Attachment 191336

Tape off area you will cut (the "hump") and depending on the tool you choose to make the cut, you may want to cover the surrounding areas to protect them from sparks ect:
Attachment 191338

I started off using a dremel with a cutting wheel on the top area. I did this because I was not sure how much room I would have for a body saw on the inside of the decklid. Once I got the top half circle done with the dremel I went to the body saw and finished off the rest. Then cleaned up the hole with a sanding drum on the dremel

Attachment 191339

At this point RTR has supplied a wax or oil junk to put on the bare metal to keep your Decklid from rusting. Well for me I'd rather use touch up paint or a actual metal primer. I used touch up paint. Did a few coats and let it dry. Then I decided to cover the holes with some vinyl I had laying around. RTR does not supply this. I suppose they assume your decklid won't leak because of the way they 3m tape the panel. But I'd rather cover the holes now and not have to pull the panel off later when it leaks.

Attachment 191340

Now you can use the supplied alcohol pad and adhesion promoter to prep the decklid. Make sure you reference the tape on the panel to see where the prep needs to be.

Attachment 191341

Pull the red covering on the tape in the center areas completely (you can't access this area later) and then you can pull the tape on the surrounding edges but only enough where you can have the tab sticking out from the edge. This way you can get the panel just right being careful not to let it settle until it's just right. Let the center area stick, then you can pull the tabs you made on the surrounding edges and press and seal the panel down. Now proceed to remove the lame "RTR" sticker on the bottom corner and your done

Attachment 191342

Stupid question: no need to put the old panel back on right?

No. You can store your old panel in case you want to go back to stock (on 13-14) at some point. Or you can sell it.

How does the faux gas cap get reattached to a missing hump? Is it not required?

The faux gas cap is attached to the decklid panel. The hump doesn't do anything. You could take off your stock decklid panel, cut out the hump for weight reduction and put the panel back on if you wanted to lol
