Clear paint protector for the front of the car

My 2014 is already get some stone nicks and bug marks on the front end. Anyone had the clear application done to protect the paint. If so what brand actually looks decent. Like to get it done but I've never seen it in person to be able to tell if it looks good or if its dull etc. Thanks in advance.

I've got a shop local to me that does the clear vinyl film to the front of cars. He also happens to be my tint guy. I asked him about it and I was told that if you apply it to a new car that didn't have any dings or marks that it would last a very long time and look great. If he puts it on a car with a bit of road damage already done, it doesn't stay as well and it also looks much worse.

I saw a few of his other customer's car with the film applied; you cannot tell anything was done till you had your face about 6" from the paint surface and were actually looking for the edge of the film.

I used X-pel also and it's awesome. You'd never be able to see it unless it's pointed out to you. Had ceramic clear coating done also to the entire car. Stuff is awesome and throwing a bucket of water on the car gets it clean and dry to the touch. Be prepared to spend a couple thousand to have all that done however. Click image for larger version
