Catted x pipe question?

will a after market Catted x make the car louder than stock h pipe.

I did the off road x and I love it, but every one that's rides with me doesn't like it. lol

So I was just wondering if it would still be loud but not as obnoxious..

Catted x pipe question?

It won't be anything like off road X.

Are you asking if you put your stock cats back on or if you go with a high flow cat setup?

I have a regular magnaflow true X pipe mated to my stock cats. When I put it on it actually got quieter. It changes the tone, but it's not going to be louder than the stock H

I tried an X-pipe with the stock cats and it was much quieter.

Yeah I was going to do the Steeda Catted x. Not going to re use stock cats.

I know it won't be as loud as off road but will it be louder than stock h?

Yes it will be louder than the stock h setup with cats.
There is a reason 90% of the high flow cats will still fail a emissions test.

If you want the loudest setup from a high flow x pipe then you need to get the magnaflow one. It's about $800

I ran BBK catted x-pipe with GT500 axle backs and it was louder than stock. Certainly nothing like an off road anything, but it sounded good. Got a lot of compliments. Then I added BBK headers and so on.... Best of luck.

Only an opinion, because I don't know your situation... But you said you love it. You're the one who drives it. Unless those pipes are gonna cause a divorce, I would tell them to take their own car. Life is short, have fun with your pony. You could always try switching over to an O/R H though. Less racket, more throaty. Might solve your problem.

Mine is loud and proud because that's how I want it. Most of my people think it's great. Those who don't, drive themselves. Regardless, hope you get things situated man.

I appreciate it man. I'm still deciding on what to do. I just would like to have the meanest but cleanest sounding stang, and yes loud. Seems to be the off road x/h is the only way to get that loud.
