The battery itself will have the number.

are you looking for a replacement or trying to upgrade it?

If replacement just open it up and get the number...my 2012 works at a great distance

2032's ARE readily available

Almost any store will have that battery. Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, Academy, Krogers, gas stations even have them. I don't know if "The Shack" is the shack anymore, lately they have a lot of cell phones inside...

No problem! If you have more than one key you might as well do both.

The Shack! That's the old school place to go for the technical project of all sorts! Now, everyone just googles it, watches a video on how to do it, orders everything you need online, gets it delivered to the door and builds it like a boss!
Man, back then (before inter web or cell phones) the Shack dudes had the answers and the rest of us had to go to a school or learn from a friend that knew.
Now I'm a genius

Sorry, was reminiscing after the "Radio Shack" comment.
But back on topic...Is there a way to upgrade battery or power so the distance maybe better?

clean contacts...or the "theory" of holding it up to your skull

fwiw I believe that MAY work as you reorient the fob putting the antenna in a different location/plane. Mine works at 100'+

I've heard holding it to your chin works. I'll never try it as I now have a Viper Remote start kit... 1 mile range with LOS... Gives me LED feedback on the fob/clicker.
