Finally the Roush RS3 in the Garage.

Sold my Jeep SRT8 some time ago so I could end up with my favorite body style of the Roush...the 2010-2012. I ended up with a 2012 RS3. With the Coyote and that exhaust, I couldn't be any happier. I did knock it down a bit with Eibach Sportlines and now preparing for window tint and R1 disc and pads. I do have the the 575 HP phase kit and the 625 Phase kit will be on as well this winter.

I have an rs3 and I got this kit. Comes with smaller pulley, idler , jlt cai, plugs, and vmp tune which I think is the better tubes u can get for our cars. Everything is very easy to install. My car is a rocket!!!

Very nice looking Mustang!
What year was your SRT8 Jeepster.
I just took a ride in an couple year old one and was really impressed...not at how much HP it had but I could actually see the gas gauge go down as we drove on the freeway...some 120 miles.

There is neighbor up the street that has an 08 with 40k miles that wants to sell it for $27k....I was thinking about it but the mileage just seems higher than I'd like to have for that money. It's totally stock.

That's pretty low mileage for a 08.

They are great vehicles, though the tranny was not as aggressive as I wanted. ON the Jeep sites, alot of guys would redo their trannys and it would wake the vehicle way up, I was planning on that before selling it.

I sold mine for 23 grand but it had alot of miles on it. My wife was not so happy I sold it, she loved it so much and I would let her drive it whenever she wanted!

Very nice! I'll 2nd the vmp tune. Had Ford install my Roush tvs w Roush tune. The Roush tune is conservative (=safe). Felt to me like I was driving an old school turbo though.

Nice looking Roush's in this thread. I too just picked up my RS3 a few months ago. A 2012 with 1200 miles on it. I must concur with the VMP phase 3 consensus. Installing that kit was comparable to going from driving a school bus, to a fighter jet IMO.

Nice car. Have you thought about going to Phase II? Do you have the 90 mm pulley or the 85mm. It makes a big difference. I was able to get the Phase II kit for under $700.00 and it cost me another $125.00 to have it installed and with the Roush tune. I am very happy with it for now. Mitch

Madscotsman, that's a very nice color combo.

OP, I would have had a tough time giving up that srt8, but clean car.

I have the 85 MM pulley, it is the 575 Hp Phase, which I think is phase 1. I am going to go to that VMP kit though, the people here convinced me.

My list of upgrades is some R1 Disc and pads and that VMP 675 kit.

I am looking at the GT500 front and rear kit from American Muscle. 15" up front and 13.8 rear. The price is right and if you contact them they will throw you a discount code. I did on SVT performance forum.

You can purchase the 15" front setup...for the rear all you need to do is buy an adapter to move your original calipers up, buy either OE 13.8" rear discs and save money. The stock rear calipers on Mustang GT's are the same as the GT500 caliper, and if you buy the OE style bracket to move the caliper you will need to take your rear axles out to put the bracket on.
I have a 14 TrakPak Mustang with 14" Brembos and spent less than $400 to change my stock 11.8" rear discs to 13.8"....kind of waste of money to buy new calipers....IMHO
