My bad, forget to say I have Flowmaster outlaws on now.

I guess I'm looking for a aggressive setup but can still pass emissions.

True, that's what my off road x did. But it was way too raspy. It was really loud.

I want loud and a nice tone. But also legal.

I run shorty headers with lethal performance x-pipe catless and no muffler just straight all the way. Trust me its to loud! I wanna get a valve system to switch from loud to quiet. I saw a "stealth" car at the formula drift event in Texas and it made me want to get a quiet exhaust. Full throttle on that car was like 2k rpm for me.

No off-road setup is street legal. Hence why it is called "off-road"

My friend's setup is: Kooks shorty headers, stock cats, MAC Prochamber mid-pipe, Borla ATAKs. Loud as hell and sounds amazing at WOT.

Depends on your state and level of enthusiasm of law enforcement compadres.
For example:
Here is Florida. It's pretty clear that ANY aftermarket exhaust technically violates the statute and is easily enforceable by any reasonable and prudent officer that can truthfully testify that he knows your car is "louder than stock". There's NO decibel level specified or meter required for this particular statute.

.5) NOISE ABATEMENT EQUIPMENT MODIFICATIONS.—
(a) No person shall modify the exhaust system of a motor vehicle or any other noise-abatement device of a motor vehicle operated or to be operated upon the highways of this state in such a manner that the noise emitted by the motor vehicle is above that emitted by the vehicle as originally manufactured.

I used it frequently for those people with a dooshiness that just said...".I need every ticket you can write me. I collect them by saying..what the f*** did you pull me over for!?"

Pretty much every state has a similar muffler law, some are just super easy to enforce but the universal reality seems to be that if you have reasonably tolerant cops, coupled with a good attitude and not too bad of a driving incident, then it gets overlooked.

I really like my Magnaflow Race series axleback setup on my 2011 GT. Sometime next year I will be going back to stock mufflers and remote dump valves. My cold starts against the garage door really wake some people up at 6:23AM but I don't care much....

It may be loud enough to get pulled over. If they have a decimal meter, they will have to fire it up and so how many decimals it registers. Then you get a shiny new paper with your future court date and the officers autograph.

No one else will know how many decimals and it sure isn't worth the extra attention you will get by the PoPo.

Loudest street legal exhaust.

Modifying exhaust which makes it louder is illegal in Florida and you can get a citation for it. That being said you would most likely not be hassled for it.

have you ever gone on a road trip in a car with bad tire noise or exhaust drone? esp V6 drone? It might not bother you for the first two hours but after a long ride........

There is a difference between sounding loud and sounding good. Why not get something that sounds really good instead of mega loud and sounding like *** and forget about trying to impress the teenagers in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot car meet on Saturday night?

Noise ordinances vary from place to place, you'd have to look up your local laws and see what they say about noise pollution and anything specific to vehicles. Many times it will apply to exhaust and ppl with stupid loud stereos too.

Lol it's just funny because I drove past a cop cruising at around 3k Rpms with ONLY Roush axle back and he pulled me over and tried to give me a ticket. I laughed and told him the mufflers came on the car
