Boss 302 Rear Diffuser - Painted

Has anyone painted their Boss 302 Rear Diffuser to match the color of their car, similar to how the 15's are?

Update: Took matters into my own hands with a quick photoshop.

I've seen it done. They left the splitter part the plastic color, it looked damn good

Haven't seen any painted. If you do paint it have an automotive paint store mix the color in a spray can and make it single part epoxy....I don't know if I'd paint the bottom though...I am very careful about parking near curbs or parking stops yet I still scrapped mine on the bottom once...

My private sources tell me that is not a rear diffuser

Thanks man. Yeah I wouldn't paint the entire thing, just the horizontal portion that goes across and maybe the fins. But I wanna see it done first lol.

That looks pretty cool, albeit not what the OP is referring to.

For some reason I couldn't see the Photoshop pics earlier, that second pic looks good. Wonder how it would look in Ox white...

Looks better in black in my opinion. By painting it you are getting the stock look similar to the 13-14 mustangs.

paint defuser

I have been thinking about painting the rocker panels on my 2011 roush. It looks like it will take a while to get them off! The only thing stopping me is fear! I don't want to screw up the car. This might help U automotivetouchup.com (888-710-5192). They match your color and can put it in aerosol $20.00. Also have how to videos and primer sand paper (1000-5000 grit) special plastic primer and sealers. I've seen defusers on line for 150. If u got the dough buy one, paint it save the stock one. If you sell the car u will have options.

Have you considered Plastidip? If you don't like it, peel it off. I have a Sterling Grey and the black almost blends in with the car color. But I have also though of doing this. Maybe the closest color would be the "Sapphire Blue Pearlizer" from dipyourcar.Com.

What exhaust? Or did you just weld on aftermarket burnt tips? Love it. I had burnt tips on my WRX before the mustang...
