TCopp Build Thread

I have finally decided to make one of these, even though I have already done several mods and have had the car for two and a half years.

A little history, I drove a manual 2000 V6 Race Red convertible (white top and white leather interior) from the time I was 15 years old to 25 years old. Zero accidents, one ticket. Loved that car, but of course, I wanted a GT for the longest time. Bought my GT in March of 2013 new with a little over 150 miles. MSRP was a little over $39k, I got it for around $31000.

2013 Mustang GT Premium M6 in Ingot Silver

Options:
California Special
3.73 axle
Comfort Package
Shaker Pro System

I will update this thread periodically with mods (pics included) that I have done over the past couple of years.

Thanks for reading!

Now, now. Don't all rush in at once. First mod I got was a new antenna. Couldn't stand the ugly stock one, cheap first mod.

Well, it decreased my drag coefficient by 0.0002, so probably around 5HP.

You might as well put the exhaust build portion up since that's all done. And video from that sexy set up.

I like these too. It's cool to see the transformation, see what works what doesn't, see how different setups work ect. Can't wait to see more TCopp

I will dude. Trying to post everything on chronological order. I will need to make another exhaust vid as well since the one I have sounds bad because of the bad tune I had at the time.

Allrighty, next mod. Bought the gloss back 5.0 badges for the quarter panels. I believe I bought them from AM, regular price. No step by step install here, taped the area so I knew where to align the new set, used fishing line to help get the old emblems off, cleaned the area, and put the new ones on, simple. I wish the new ones would have came with the little plastic piece that goes in the hole for alignment purposes.

Edit: Guess I put these on before the antenna, woops.

To continue with the black/silver look, I decided to black out all of my lights. I found a kit on eBay that had all of the pieces pre cut, for an excellent price compared to AM or anywhere else. This is the first time I had ever messed with vinyl tint, so there was a learning curve. Some patience, soap water, spray bottle, my wife's blow dryer, a squeegee, and a few hours, and I was done. They have all help up nicely for being on there for two years. Sorry, the only close up before/after picture I have is of the front parking lights.

The kit came with the headlights, front and rear parking lights, the six taillight inserts, the third break light, and the reflective red strips that are in the rear diffuser.

Here is the eBay link, the guy is still selling the same kit I bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mustang-2013...-/140917382641

As a 2013 gt/cs owner as well I will be following your thread. How do you like the look of the stock wheels, any plans to change them in the future?

I like them more than most other stock wheels. My next big change will probably be wheels. I'm looking at TSW Sochi's in gunmetal.

Been really busy the last month between work, the baby, and installing my suspension. My next mod was window tint. I went with 25% all around, I didn't want pitch black, and at the same time I still wanted it to be dark, so this sounded like a good happy medium. Got all windows tinted for $125.

These are the only two pics I took right after the tint job.

Welp, I totally forgot about this. I think the next thing I put on here blue LED license plate lights. Bought them from StangMods when they had some sale going on. They have been on for 2.5 years, no problems.

I enjoy talking to myself.

Next mod was Borla S types. Bought them used for about $500. This was the first mod I did that was sort of "mechanically related." Woo. Loved the results. I still have to grab the tail pipe and straighten them out every now and then. Last pic was the before, my sig pic is after.

If you have to move them every now and then you still have some room to tighten them up. I would bust out the 13mm and see if you can get another half turn or so. My ataks never moved once I got them cinched down.

Next mod I did was hood struts, bought them when they were on sale at AM. Had them replaced because the first set was missing a few pieces and started rusting. This set has some rust...but not as bad.

Next I installed some blue LED dome lights. I believe I bought them from stangmods as well. Relatively cheap. They didn't increase the brightness at all, but it's a nice "cool" look.

Next mod was some brighter fogs. I can't for the life of me remember where I purchased these, or how much they were.

Here's the stock fogs:

Comparison of the two bulbs:

New bulbs. Ignore the light on top of the pic, it wasn't on in the first one. Overall, it increased the brightness a tad, plus they are less yellow.
