Nitrous kit question

Probably picking up a NX plate kit this week. I have lu47 injectors ,full header back off road exhaust and ported boss Intake with jlt and a 5c converter. E85 tune by AED. My question is if I run a 100 shot am I going to need a boost a pump or will I be fine? I'll be getting a nitrous tune from Shaun for the nitrous. What about if I step it up to 125 or 150 shot? Wouldn't go any more on a stock motor anyways.

You don't need a BAP imo. If you did Shaun would of said something but it just an insurance thing. I wouldn't worry about it unless you go over 150

Yeah haven't even asked him about it. Didn't even think to until now. Wasn't gonna hit him up until I have the kit and everything and ready for the tune.

I'm interested in the answer. I have nearly your identical set up and when I asked Shaun if he'd tune me on nitrous he said he'd only tune a direct port kit.

That's weird, told him today I was doing a plate kit. He said he could tune up to 150 on e85 and 100 on 93.

Surprised he is going to tune a NX plate. He used to only do a hardlined plate kit or a direct port. The NX plate is notorious for having a lean spike on the hit.

Yeah he'll do a plate kit on e85 for sure. I've spoken to him a lot about it. Direct port is best imo. I think it costs like 300$ to drill/plumb your intake manifold.

Where can I get more info on that? Never heard about a lean spike in any kits.

Yeah it's common on hit. You can talk to Shaun about it. Or just look it up via Google. It's nothing too bad. Just run e85 or 93 with some race gas

So do I really need a different tune for a wet plate kit since the kit add fuel? Can't I use the handheld to remove some timing instead of paying yet again for another tune?

What shot were you planning on running?
And depends if your tuner left the tune software itself unlocked.

There's more involved then just taking a couple degree of timing off. I'd get a nitrous tune. 100$ through Shaun

Me I would run it.
Advice I would give someone else is to get it tuned to be safe

Do you need an after market CAI for a plate kit

Random question time:

The main point of nitrous is to never bounce of the rev limiter while spraying or between shifts correct?
Short shifting on nitrous would be bad huh?

That's why you have the nitrous shut off b4 your set limiter.

Too tired to explain haha. Pretty much, is it dangerous to shift in the middle of a nitrous pull. Say 6k rpm? I know from my best logs, I never fully lift off the pedal. I usually stay on it like 30-40 degree of throttle.

In trying to see where I should have the car shift at on the juice. Got a nos window switch and he and it set to come on between 4k and 7k. He's manual on a stock intake though. I have the boss and an auto but I'm nervous to spray it to 7500rpm. Would it be better to have it shift at 7000 or keep it at 7500, or have the spray shut off after 7000 and come back on after a shift?

Have the spray come on at 3k and shut off right b4 it shifts.

What like a couple hundred rpm or so? What's the most rpm these motors can be sprayed safely?

Where's a good place to find mapping for e85 and 93 with the NX coyote kits ?
