Had an SRT8 Jeep with catless aftermarket exhaust......loved the power and the noise. I could smell it but every once in a while.

Well I tried the install yesterday..even with some WD40, that bolt would not come loose. Going to try gain today with some power tools. Also, on the way to friends house to do the offroad h pipe install there was a rolling smog check on the incoming traffic side. I never seen one before but heard of it. But it shouldn't be a problem since I have read it is voluntary and you can say no. Still it was a scare lol

lol I'm thinking the voluntary part disappears as your sitting there refusing in your 5.0 that smells like an old pickup truck with your off road pipe

I just installed my off road x-pipe. The first three bolts came off fairly easy. The forth and final bolt was a nightmare. Would not come off no matter what I tried. The nut lost it tread towards the end and would spin but not move out anymore. I had to carefully grind of the nut with a small grinder. I lost about two hours on that one bolt. The install of the new x-pipe was a piece of cake after that.

Are you referring to the bolt that you have to get from the top of the engine bay?

No, I was able to remove that one easily from the top with 2 feet of extensions. I had trouble with a driver side bolt that I assume was just a random troublesome bolt from hell that would not cooperate.

No Drone at any RPM range. Just gives a snarling growl when RPM's are above 2500-3000RPM's
Sounds wonderful.
I can sneak around neighborhood without drawing attention.
Shifting gears at 2200RPM's sounds like a stout muscle car. 2500-6000RPM's gives a modular roar, injects you with a smile.
No Drone. Maybe it does, but just sounds like sumthin wonderful in my head.
Fun to do myself, purchasing piece by piece, cutting it up, connecting pipes, ProChambers are magical little boxes.

There was drone with my Pypes offroad H pipe and Roush axelbacks..I had to take the roushes off and put on my quieter axelbacks. The roushes were so loud that I could not go over 3k rpms anymore without pissing everyone off.

I have to get up at 1AM on the weekends for work, and cold start is ridiculously loud so it was not going to work out hahah. Are any of you experiencing a hissing sound coming from the H pipe? I had the shop weld the pipe where the down pipes meet the mid pipes and it got a lot quieter then it was before but the hissing it still there and noticeable.
