Mustang gt small problems

So just getting ur opinions.. when ever I get on my car and sometimes spin the tires in first the clutch pedal sticks about half way for prolly 15 seconds or until i push it in and out once or twice. It will eventually pop out.. is the clutch going out or something small? Doesn't do it all the time but it has happened more frequently.. also when I first start the car It clicks/ grinds into gear and sometimes I have to either force it(which I dont) or go from a different gear back to first or reverse(where it happens the most) to get it in gear. Thanks guys

Upgrade the clutch and get a braided clutch line.

Is this a common GT problem? My Sixxer does not do this. I dont have anything upgraded Engine/Transmission wise. Even the fluids are stock Ford Motorcraft stuff.

Only reason I ask is I want a GT soon. and plus the OP is facing a (to me) serious issue.

I think there's a TSB for early Coyote GTs when the clutch tries to stay disengaged during higher rpm shifts. Something to do with the original factory install and fixable under power-train warranty if you're still covered.
At any rate get the clutch fixed soon before the trans suffers some damage from the clutch problem!

Every 2011-2014 3.7 or 5.0 (no GT500 has done this to me) mustang I have ever raced that had a manual transmission has done this (I race every weekend, and I have only driven my own car six times this year; people throw me their keys to figure out where they lose time to me). This will typically happen on high rpm, high throttle shifts.

As soon as I pull the assistance spring from the pedal, the problem is impossible to reproduce (though you will have about 1/8" of play at the top of the travel that the spring would normally hide).

Proving to my fellow racers that the disdain that some GT drivers have for V6 drivers is unfounded, one results archive at a time since 2013.
