Mustang gt bama tune

So I got an engine code p219b. My buddie said it's from my tune from bama. Ik bama kinda sucks at tuning since it surges like no other just getting up to speed on the highway but anyone else have this code am any fixes?

Fix number 1. Call your tuner and datalog your tune. (Something that should be fine with any email tune)

What are your mods? I had a pinched TB gasket that turned out to be responsible for my surging, it runs smooth with the Bama tune.

Not a reputation. Just someone's opinion.

There's something to be said for amazing customer service. When I had my issue the last few days they did everything they could to help me.

I had the same error code. It's not the tune. It is a known issue. There is a TSB for it. It could also possibly be a leak somewhere especially with the surging. Otherwise, remove your tune, and go to the Ford dealer, and get the fix for it. They have a update for your computer for it. After getting that done, you are going to need a new program from BAMA, as it changes what BAMA calls the strategy. If you have the tunes that give you no real customization options, ask BAMA to send you tunes that allow for customizations. After Ford updated my computer, I have not had that code since.

If you have a CAI, you may have to put the stock air intake back on it temporarily. I got the one with a restrictor, so I just put it back in temporarily.
BAMA was fast. They sent me new tunes for the new strategy the next night. I have no surging either.

P.S. my Ford dealer knew about my CAI, and custom tune, and didn't care. Your mileage may vary. Where you could run into issues is if you have after market headers.

I bet you guys haven't heard this one, my car has been running like complete sh*t pretty much since I purchased bama tunes. I called yesterday to figure out why it struggles to stay alive at startup and idle, why I've been getting10mpg, why I can't accelerate normally and the whole thing pretty much barely held together; they told me they accidentally sent me the tunes for an 07 V6...I have a 14 GT.FML. Anyone know what I should get inspected internally?... after I reload my steeda tune of course.

I think for about a month, I honestly thought their toons made the car run like sh*t since it was the same with the boss intake. I guess I've been running them since I purchased them.

Nope, none. When I tried to reload the tunes after returning to stock I received this error and then it wouldn't let me proceed Click image for larger version

Then I would go back and reload the race tune and it was back to regular toon shaking and10mpg.

Ok, I have to ask. Why didn't you call them the same day, or next day. I would have reverted to stock and called them right away.

That's insane I would be pissed another reason I would not use BAMA. I have other reasons I won't post. My car is not tuned but if I were to do it I would go with Lund. Seeing what he has done for people's cars I know has sold me on his abilities and knowledge of tuning. The only reason I don't tune mine is I don't want to lose my Boss track key and last I've heard they haven't cracked that yet.

Because all of their tunes were the same way, it obviously wasn't ideal but it was tolerable and I didn't know if that's just what their tunes did. I mean, my acceleration was out of control and take offs were rapid; but things like mpg and idle aren't things I particularly pay that much attention to until I become aware that they are wayyy out of spec. I guess I'm trying to say, the tune effects made the side effects easier to rationalize until they told me yeah it's not right. I mean, maybe I was dumb but it I didn't expect or think maybe they sent me the wrong tune. I did a video of the start up and idle but can't post on here with the mobile version.

Sorry to hear you got the wrong tune. That does suck. I've been running Bama tunes for a couple years on 3 different Mustangs with never an issue and quick turn around for updates. Its not an excuse, but they do provide tunes for thousand and thousands of cars. Unfortunately that does increase the opportunity for an error. Again, not trying to make an excuse.
Anytime there is a question about a tune they are more than willing to answer any.

I have a 2014GT with the V2 BAMA tune. Not one issue. Great performance gain. Loved the shift characteristics as well.
