From the ashes...Best Veteran's Day Ever!

About 3 weeks ago, a deer decided that he no longer wanted to live, and my car obliged him in his quest for self-eradication. What started out looking like this:

Finally, after much heartache and a dwindling supply of sanity, I got the best Veteran's Day present EVER!!!

I want to give a huge thanks to the guys and ladies of Caliber Collision of Raleigh, NC for bringing my wounded ride back from the dead, and for allowing me the opportunity to come away with a new Cervini's Type IV ram air hood in the process. National backorder on the stock hood actually worked out in my favor. I hope that you guys and girls of the MEVO herd don't ever have to go through this like I did, but this was the best Veteran's Day present this former soldier could get. Safe travels!

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. This car means a lot to me, and I was so happy to get it back. It's a shame that I won't be able to enjoy it for much longer though...I'm heading overseas for awhile to work in the next few weeks.

Funny thing was the cops walked over to it, saw it was dead, then offered to let me shoot it anyway. Very tempting, but it was 4:30 in the morning and near some neighborhoods...didn't want to call attention to them with gunshot reports.

By the time I passed back by there in my truck on the way to get a rental car, someone had already scooped it up. It had an 8 point rack, so not surprised.

Very unselfish of your car to grant that deer its death wish, mine is very selfish. Car looks great, new hood really changed the look of it.

Thanks all, I love the new look as well. Now I just need to try and find some mesh to fill in the holes with, and order the ram air duct from Cervini's. I'm trying to find some that matches as much as possible the grilles in the car. If anyone sees any, or something close, let me know.
