Off road x pipe issues

bought the JBA ceramics LTH for my 2013 5.0 (Model#: 6585SJS) along with the Catted H pipe from JBA as well (Model#:6689SDC). I chose to go with the Off road X pipe after 7 months and purchased it through American Muscle (Model#:6686SX).

When i decided to make the replacement, the off road X pipe did not fit with the headers. (See below details). The Long TUbes and the H pipe is a perfect fit with no modifications required.

Long Tubes:
Center to center of the collectors - 24 3/8"

Off Road X pipe:
Center to Center - 23 3/8"

Has anyone ran into this issue as well? i assume either the Headers, H or X pipe were assembled incorrectly, i think the main issue is the X pipe since i had no issue installing the headers with the Catted H.

Well you have to give more details on why it doesn't fit? is the X pipe too short? if so, there are extensions towards the end of the mid pipe that u can loosen to move the mid pipe forward if needed.

The X pipe is not Short, it is too narrow. i think i figured out what the issue is. Looks like the headers were not tightened properly and are kinda offset. The H pipe came in 2 pieces so when it was assembled, it was done in a way to match the offset of the headers. I will have to fix the headers first and move on from there.

Hey Rick - I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're running into here. This is pretty rare for JBA and I'd love to get a look at this for you. Despite it being 7 months old I'm happy to bend our return policy here for you but I'd like to get a look at what you're working with.

Can you shoot me some pictures over of what you're describing to support@americanmuscle.com ATTN Alex L along with your order number? Let us know if you're still at the same address too.

I'm happy to get a replacement order set up for you.

Alex

You forgot to throw in the part where after taking care of his mustang needs, you know someone who can take care of their housing needs. We need to have a quick crash course training session, Alex

Hey Alex,

thanks for your insight and willingness to help. Let me get under the car and see if the headers were indeed tightened improperly. if the fitting changes and i am able to connect the X pipe once i fix the problem, than i am good to go.

I will get back to you and let you know how it turned out.

when you say "tightened properly" what do you mean? I don't see how that could cause a fitment issue, they're going to sit against the head flat, you tighten the nuts and that's it.......

Well i thought the same thing but JBA confirmed to me that the dimentions on the X pipe is correct at 23 3/8". My headers are 24 3/8" from center of collector to collector. If by chance the headers are bolted right, then there is an issue with one of these JBA parts. (H, X pipes or headers)

If they aren't bolted correctly, I'd assume you would have had a massive exhaust leak for the past 7 months.

the H pipe comes in 2 pieces and can be assembled in ways to match the headers 24 3/8" and maybe 23 3/8". Right now my set up is the long tubes with the catted H pipe with no issues. The leak cannot be present since i do not smell anything or hear any unusual noise comming from the motor exhaust, not even the engine light comes on with O2 sensor errors.
