Improve grip

Hi guys
I have VMP stage 2 for my Auto transmission and recently I did some 0-60 tests.
When I stomped the gas pedal the wheels were spinning too much in 1st gear before the car started to move.
It feels like there is not enough grip.

My rears are MPSS 255/35/20 - the widest i can go is 275 because my wheel is 9".
I have got BMR LCA and UCA w/mount
And soon BMR Adjustable Panhard bar.
My car is also lowered only by Eibach pro kit springs.

So, I was wondering how can I improve it?
Is it tires matter? Or suspension?

Thank you!!

I just went for some track runs Friday night. If you truly wanna catch one of the things you (and me) need to do is go with more tire. I know I am on 20's and love the look but really kills us on grip and I am NA. I know once I get the Vortech I will have to get some track back wheels. and may even switch to smaller for street.

Not going to happen on the street with a 20" wheel. It's not the width of the tire that matters but rather the height of the sidewall. And on a 20" wheel no bueno.

You need an actual tire that can hold up to the power levels you're making. Look at some drag radials like the NT05 or even Mickey Thompson ET streets. They make them in 20's as well but they're gonna fetch some $$.
