Pony Projection Lights - 3rd set going bad!!!!

Hi All...

Anyone have problems with/find solution for them? I'm on my third set of the Pony Projection Lights replaced under warranty, and they're showing signs of going bad. They get distorted, scratched up, etc. to where they eventually look like a jagged blurred up mess. I'm out of warranty now, so hoping to find a solution, so I don't have to keep replacing them. These are on a 2013 GT with only about 20k miles.

Thanks...Arlen.

I'd get inventive. Maybe put the material from those phone screen protectors on them. Of course you will have to trim them.

My solution would be to disconnect them. They were intended as bait for potential buyers. I don't see them lasting maybe you could make a little horse screensaver or something

Thanks.... maybe there's a way to hollow them out and put nice LEDs in them instead of that pony logo that only lasts a few months.

Unfortunately the problem is not on the outside of the lens. The heat from these lights (yes the back side of these get very hot), destroys the lens from the inside. Extremely poor design.

Figures the only one who really thought those were the shiznit on my '14 was my girfriend, who needs things to be "pretty". IDGAF really but, if it makes her happy, I'm all for that. Mine are still going strong at....12 thousand miles, har.

Maybe there is a way to replace the bulbs with a cree led setup or something. If they are the same 30mm bulb the Taurus' and F150s use, that's about 12 bucks on ebay.

It is a sealed unit. Ugh.

Now they are. When they first came out with them replacements were $90.

How is that much heat generated being that the these lights are only on for a couple of minutes. I have a 2013 with 26,000 miles and no issues yet.

the units are sealed but a little ingenuity unseals them, at least in the Taurus/F150 case...

Sway Bar.. shelby vs hotchkis sway bars

--2013 GT convertible with track pack...
I've done everything else... I was trying to find who makes the Shelby bars and get more off shelby website reviews. ( true reviews) also dont see alot of info on the Hotchkis set up.

Both units are around the 425 range to the door. I didn't find anything on our search function either..
I will sit back and read the info.. thanks for any and all info.
