I just bought this one on Tuesday and I have put about 2300 hundred right now. I have been driving back highways and through several major cities going home with it. I have set my cruise at anywhere between 64 to 84 depending on state speed limits and have had several spirited runs to clean the carbon out and my mpg is 21 right now. This cars a aftermarket x pipe with no cats a JLT intake an 20 inch tires. I can't complain because my daily at home gets 12 lol.

We get low 20's in town and mid 20's on the highway. I don't know how hard I would have to drive the car to get low teens...............but, I also don't want to find out.

In to and from work 50/50 driving, 50 miles per day I can get 21 mpg easy with semi spirited driving habits. I do a highway run of 25 miles a lot I can get 28mpg at 60 mph if its not windy.

Manual with 3:73

I average 18-19 with mixed highway/city driving.

If it's strictly highway, like a road trip I average about 22mpg.

Slimguns, do you take off in 3rd gear from a stop? That's some impressive MPGs with that setup.

Lol, no. I know all the roads that have limited stopping and a 45 mph speed limit, as well as i only speed when I'm playing. Heck I usually drive under the limit. .. If you see a gray mustang in 6th gear going 45, that's probably me. At least until a chevy or dodge roles up!

I'm always too paranoid about premature bearing wear to lug around at too low of an RPM

MPG

I'm getting 20-22 mostly city. There are times when I get up to 50 mph for a couple of miles, but the 1st half hour of my commute home i go 4 miles.
I travel from the east end of Pittsburgh to out past the Pittsburgh airport.
I get about the same mileage with a 2007 impala!
High way 25 - 28.
Took it from Pittsburgh to Richmond and back last fall.
27 down to Richmond
28 back

Mixed freeway and south Orange County traffic usually gets me about 17.5...that's pushing the pedal now and then...I always leave first at street lights. Pure highway running around 78-80 I can get 23+....mountainous roads knock some mileage down...I have actually got one trip logged for the sole purpose of tracking mileage... where I used cruise control at 58 MPH on a 120 mile trip stretch of the I-405 at 4AM (no traffic)... turn around after sixty miles...no horsing the engine....average 32 MPG.... that was a loooong tough trip......but that Coyote... Oh, my what an engine.

At low RPM throttle applications, your crankshaft and connecting rod bearings are under really heavy load with almost no lubrication as it pulls the oil wedge away and then you have metal on metal. I'm not sure what the threshold on these engines is, but I try not to cruise below 1500rpm around town (and I only apply a tiny bit of throttle if needed, otherwise I will downshift) and I NEVER give it full throttle below about 2500-3000RPM except when I launch in first gear at it only stays under 2500RPM for a split second

22-24 MPG, 75% freeway (with traffic) 25% in-town.
26-28 MPG on a highway road trip (keeping speeds around 70-75)
16-18 all in-town

16.5 is what my average is. It's about to go up since winter is here and I don't care for unplanned traction loss.
