Help!!! Loud Tick after oil change!!! 2012(GT)

I've just replaced my oil yesterday with Pennzoil 5w-20 and a bosch oil filter. after work today on the way home near the end of my trip i noticed a loud tick sound coming from the engine bay. I also noticed the tick increase with an increase in rpm's, sounds like it is coming from the drivers side 2nd cylinder but im not sure of the source. please any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 49,321 mi.

Go back and replace the filter and oil with the motorcraft stuff. I've had two of these cars and they stay tick free on that, as far as my limited data set tells me they do.

Make sure to check the dipstick. Some people dont realize these cars hold 8 quarts. Check for any leaks , loose filter or pan bolt.
I have done all my oil changes with brands other tha Motorcraft and had no issues.

The Coyote engine is famous (or infamous!) for developing a tick right after an oil change. For the most part, it does not seem serious and sometimes goes away in a few thousand miles or after the next oil change.
Google "5.0 tick after oil change" and you will see what I mean. There is a LOT of information and many posts about this here as well.

This is why I prefill my oil filter with nearly a quart of oil prior to putting it on. I believe the time it takes to fill the filter is to blame for this tick. I use amsoil and have changed 3 times and have never experienced the tick

It'll go away in a thousand miles or 2

My car had the tick after every oil change with 5w-20 motorcraft and a motorcraft filter. Last week I changed the oil and used Pennzoil Ultra 5w-30 synthetic and an STP extended life filter (Autozone had a package deal). Tick is gone. Of course before this I just went to the dealer for oil changes, and I'm not sure if they primed the filter. I did, and it took a lot of oil so maybe that's the cause. I remember with my old BMW 540i, if I didn't prime the filter it had a nasty rattle on the first startup.

If you do your own oil changes you should prime the filter. But you don't have to.

That happens to me every single time I do an oil change. It goes away after a few hundred miles. Don't let it bother you. I know it's annoying, but for some reason the 5.0's with fresh thin oil make that noise.
