Cylinder 8 issue addressed for 2013?

Hey everyone, after doing hours of research ive found some evidence that ford quietly addressed the problems on the coyote cylinder 8 eating its self.
with a slight re design of piston as well as the heat treating applied to it
some time has passed, can anyone confirm or deny this for me that it was indeed fixed?

I never herd of a #8 problem other then the first tunes that came out. Those who did have a #8 issues have already been addressed. Might have been a BAMA tune issue with the first 2011 models.

The 13 redesign of the pistons, deletion of the oil squirters and retune were designed to be able to say, "we got a little more power out." (8, woohoo!) It had nothing to do with the ****ty aftermarket tuners early on blowing these motors up.

Having had both, the 13+ stock tune is light years better than the 2012 stock tune I had before. Still benefits from a quality retune but it isn't desperately needed like on the '12.

I really doubt the tune is light years better then the 2011 2012 mustangs but what ever you say. And I'm guessing when BAMA came out with the 8k to 10k motor replacement warranty due to the #8 failure it was just because they were being really nice. pppsssshhhhh. From what I've researched it was due to TUNES. That's all been worked out. Old news

My '12 was crippled with paralytic rev hang, super soft low end response, skip shift and a general disconnectedness to the DBW calibration. Add Procal and it banged out 11s at 115 and would peel the skins at pretty much any rpm on the road in low gears.

My 14 had good low end torque right off (but could be better) and much better throttle response. The rev hang and skip shift were dealt with by the automatic, obviously.

VMP tuned this one for me and I await the Spring for track results. It feels every bit as strong as the manual car did, on the road, thus far.

It's not a big data set but, the engine performance sure felt different from much more than changing the trans type.

I had a P219b code Air/Fuel Ratio imbalance Bank 2. I had a BAMA tune, and was not too impressed with it. Reverted it to stock tune, and still got the error. This is on my 2012. I went to Ford, and they told me there was a TSB for that error code. Got a new stock computer tune, and then went back to BAMA, and they gave me a new tune based off of the new strategy, and wow it really made a big difference compared to the old tune. I also have not seen that error code since. Shifting was more responsive. before that, I had to hit the gas pretty hard to get it to downshift, and now it downshifts without stepping on the gas so hard. I could really feel the difference in the tunes compared to the old tunes. The performance tune has way more midrange punch than the old tune. The Racing tune I don't see as much difference, compared to the old one, but you really feel the difference between the two tunes as to where power is being made.
