I'm taking into account though that this is a sports car.. And you get a sports car because you want people to notice (on top of the laundry list of personal reasons too of course). Honestly I get excited when I see a 5.0, but get REALLY excited when I see any GB mustang just because there aren't many around.. Do you think I'll get ticketed/picked out because of GB opposed to a another color?

Don't drive like an idiot and you should be fine. Choose your locations carefully if you want to get on it once in a while, like a deserted country road. And I mean more along the lines of hammering it once in a while and then getting out of it, not driving at high speeds.

I had a Grey '03 that I really liked.

The Grabber Blue is pretty nice. Here is the wife's '14.

But if you want the best I suggest this color. My '13.

Love both colors! GHIG was my second choice. More GBs to choose from. I only found one GHIG.

Yeah it took me a bit to find the GHIG and I flew from Idaho to FL to buy and drive it home.

The GB to me is a pain in the butt to keep clean. I am going to have a paint correction done on it next year and maybe reclear to see if that helps. I like the GB and we also put a set of GB side louvers on it and it looks really good.

Having had both, my 2010 was Grabber Blue and I loved the color but kept looking back at my second choice SGM and ended up with it on my 2013. So I am in the Sterling Grey Metalic side.

Why not really go for broke and find a 2012 Lava Red car? You get the flashy car but its subtle too.

you asked about being ticketed....you only get tickets (except camera ones) when you get noticed.

side note: I asked my insurance agent if different colors (ie red) cost more to insure and the answer was "no"

You're right! GB looks awesome in bright sunlight! Then again, looks great on cloudy days also. Takes on a completely different shade.

I was wondering when you were going to chime in Jesse. Especially since your car won the Chip Foose award at the AM show this year!

Yeah Rob, you know I had to show my SGM love. I still have yet to decide whether to mount the Foose wheel on the wall in my garage, or make a glass-topped table out of it. First world problems. I hope we can make it back up there next year since Patty and I had a great time meeting all of you guys, but I might be going overseas for work soon. If that's the case, I'll still keep a lookout on the forums and expect to see some pics.

You say that tickets are handed out when you get noticed I have passed many cops speeding and my exhaust is loud or so I'm told so color has a little to do with it but the brighter it is the more a drivers eyes are drawn to the car and off that radar screen. Grabber blue all the way!!

I have talked to one of my family friends who was with the police for decades about that. I had just purchased my mustang and test drove the ruby red metallic at the dealership (absolutely stunning color in person by the way, pictures do it no justice), and he said when he was running radar never once did he pick out a car by its color. He said it was all about the speed, so I wouldn't worry much about that determining which to pick. They are going to get you either way if they are able.

Flashy colours do make it harder to talk your way out of a ticket, especially if you are younger. My last 5.0 was a bit flashier, it was Candy Red Metallic but, that was still pretty subdued compared to Race Red, GB, GHIG, etc.

I can visually see the cops relax when they approach the car and realize it's some middle aged guy. I talk to them like human beings, I don't lie to their face and you'd be surprised how well I come out.

I would have to say SGM. It looks outstanding in the sun when it's clean.

When I got my Race Red I was afraid I would get picked out for a ticket but I also talked to a retired State Trooper and he said he never picked by color - it was always speed and it was the front of a pack or the rear of the pack - or just out by yourself. But I have to tell you when I drive by a police person - I sure get the looks. I am always doing the speed limit when that happens - knock on wood. I am careful where I go WOT - most of the time - I just keep up with traffic and if by myself - maybe 4 over and I USE the cruise - it is too easy to start speeding and not even notice. Both colors are nice - but I would have chosen the gray myself. It looks sharp. Especially with the black striping. But I am sure you will enjoy your grabber blue.! (By the way my favorite color is Blue) But I bought Red and would have bought a gray if I had seen one.

I think they are night and day. I love both don't get me wrong. I like most all of them except red as I am just not a red fan in general. If you want to stand out more def the grabber. I had a 2011 silver with bright blue stripes and it got noticed. Now I have the Sterling Get but I get compliments all the time on how "stealthy", "mean" it looks. When it comes down to it these cars are so awesome you will love either way.
