The 4.8 and 5.3 are the best buys.
The one I posted is a 4.8.

All you have to do is re gap the rings stud it and can make 800+ all day

How much do the all aluminum L33s go for around you or is it not worth the premium over an iron 4.8/5.3?

That's definitely debatable.

I'm talking ANYTHING LS based, is $1000 or more around here. I've been shopping for one for over a year now for my S10. I'm just trying to find something around 120k or less mileage with wiring and all accessories.

You looking local? How much you willing to pay? Preference on what motor?

I find motors for people all the time. So let me know and I will send a few links your way

Might be worth getting it cheap and getting it shipped up to Washington.

From my research, 6.0s are $400-600 more than their little brothers. I know I'm only sacrificing 20-30 hp/tq with a 4.8 over a 5.3. Last 4.8 I found was in a totaled box van with only 48,000 miles on it. Would have been an excellent donor but the guy wanted $1,800 for just the motor and wouldn't come off the price. Only junkyard around here I trust, they want $900 or more for any LS motor, but at least they'll hook them up and show you they run.
