Fog Lights on 2012

I was curious if fog lights from a 2013 mustang would fit into the stock grill of a 2012. Obviously I know the grilles are different. My buddy gave me his fog lights off his 2013 and I was trying to fit them into my 2012 grille but it seems like they wouldn't fit correctly(or at all). To be fair I only tried for about 10 minutes, maybe it's user error. Thanks for the help.

They are different dimensionally and mounting wise....

Best bet is 35 watt HIDs in the 2012 Grille fogs...they'll really work then.

Yes they fit and fit in the stock grille. You have to get 2013 fog light mounting brackets and modify the lights to go in upside down. The 2013 lights have large aluminum heat sinks on the back to cool the LEDs and you have to trim the top fin and good amount and the second one a little to clear the core support. Your other options is making your own brackets out of some aluminum stock and hand bending it. Still easy enough and some black spray paint would hide them

No... you'll just piss off oncoming traffic royally putting HIDs in your fogs but you WILL fit in with the FATF crowd.

ZLWhat is correct.
