I have one because I have a blower and I got a kit from vmp. Years ago a friend of mine had a civic and he slapped one on and it made a diff. Early 2000 model but cars r diff now especially the stangs. The intakes they come with are good. Like Tcopp says more for looks

Feel like I saw you driving the other day (possibly today).
I thought about it but I just swapped the OE filter for a K&N. It's going to be a looks thing IMO. Maybe a little better flow at 156mph with a Boss Intake.... I am sure you can find a dyno chart somewhere.

lol high possibility it was me driving. .

i have the Airraid that i purchased 3 yrs ago and after the tune and dyno run it only showed 7 HP around 5K+. The black hawk cliams 14HP with no tune but it is always over stated. i was just curious.

If you were in Pasadena yesterday around lunch time then it was you. The GT I saw had the same rims (looks like them anyways). He was shifting at about 4K... Haha
You ever go to the Kemah car show in the Home Depot parking lot?

Yeah, discussing CAI's on these forums is like talking to someone about religion & politics.

I use K&N Series 63 Mustang AirCharger High Performance Cold Air Intake 63-2578 (11-14 GT) - Free Shipping The K&N SERIES 63 AIRCHARGER.

From personal experience, I can tell you this:

(puts on flame suit)

When I run with the lid on, I don't really notice any difference.

When I run with the lid off, I notice two things:
  • exhaust note is a bit louder
  • pulls a bit harder at higway speeds (seat of pants, not dynoed)

Maybe it's all in my head, maybe not... I've gone back and forth several times with lid on/off to make sure I'm not imagining things.
