Need advice on Borla s type with offroad h pipes

I have outlaws with offroad h pipes from lethal performance. I actually like it but the drone at highway speed has gotten to me a bit. I was given a good offer on Borla s types, question is how do they sound in the interior with offroad pipes. No videos on YouTube that help with it so I'm looking for 1st person experiences with it

I'm running Borla s types with ARH long tube headers and their off road h pipe with stock OTA pipes. To me it all sounds perfect imo. Doesn't seem to drone really down the highway.

So at highway speeds and slight load accelerations, is there buzzing or low humming noises in the cabin? Does it rasp a lot?

No rasp, you can still here it a bit when speeding up at highway but it's not annoying loud or anything. I'll try and get some video this weekend perhaps if that helps.

Your problem is the outlaws. Aka dronemaster mufflers. Borla won't drone. Magnaflow won't drone, corsa won't drone. Hell I've even been in a car with Roush mufflers with an off-road X and it didn't drone or sound annoying at all in the car (loud as hell outside tho). Ditch the slowmasters and you will be a drone free happy camper

Going to see if this works. Let me know if the links are not working. First video is windows up getting on the on ramp to 6th going 70. It's lengthy didn't know how much to capture. 2nd one is short, windows down driving around in the city. Captured on my iPhone which was sitting in the passenger seat, probably not the best representation but better than nothing.

^those videos are pretty close to what I experience. I have S-types with offroad H. Stock headers, kept the resonator.
However, I have 3.73s and live in NJ, so "highway speed" is 75-80 and I'm taching about 2400-2600rpm in 6th, so it's a bit louder for me while cruising.
I think with 3.31s I would be in a lower rev range and wouldn't mind them one bit.

It's a good video. Next time put some scenery in the video haha

Well here's what I ended up doing. I bought a used set of Borla s types and I am gonna do a comparison video through my go pro4 on the differences. Maybe it'll help some since one is cheap option and one is pricy.

I need to make my way up by you next time I go out to Katy so I can hear them. I have an off-road H sitting in storage.... I had a '11 or '12 pass me today with exhaust. I was so jealous....

I went from Borla S types to the ATAK with no other exhaust mods.. Borla type s sounded better in my opinion.. The ataks.. I don't know to explain the sound.. Louder? yes... Not much though..

Either type Borla has a much much better soun than the outlaws.. I had them first. They were Loud but the crappy tone was almost as bland as the slps

These cars have a much more different tone compared to 5.0s 1995 and lower

Well I'm making the comparison video in adobe premiere right now so I'll probably post it sometime tomorrow. Everything is compared except interior drone. There is absolutely none

I've got stock headers with Lethal offroad H, with resonators and Borla S-Types, no drone ever. I have 3.31's and when im in 6th doing 70-75 im turning maybe 2200rpm or so and they are not bad at all for cruising. I can listen to my radio even at low volumes and the exhaust does not interfere. I can hear it yes but its nothing annoying
