What brand O/R H-pipe should I get?

Been looking at Pypes and JBA but they both seem to have fitment issues. Not interested in an X-pipe not a fan of rasp. I want one where the Cat deletes are separate not attached because I plan on just replacing the H pipe first then the Cats if I want more sound after that....What do you guys use?

Thanks

I believe SLP makes a pipe like that.

Also an X pipe is not raspy with a good set of straight thru mufflers especially with cats on it.

I don't mean to go against what you said about no x pipe, but have you heard it in person? I was against it and wanted the old school h pipe sound until I heard an xpipe and now i'm glad I went with an x. Really sounds great especially getting on the highway right by an overpass

On my Pypes O/R H the cat deletes were separate pieces.
I can't speak for fitment issues because we hacked them up to weld in "cats"

I got the pypes H pipe, fitment wasn't an issue except the leaks from the cat delete pipes and the H pipe so ended up welding it. If you get the Pypes you will most likely need to weld the cat delete pipes to the H.

I have Pypes O/R-H as well. As mentioned above, it comes in two separated pieces like you're wanting. As far as fitment goes, I've always heard that there are issues, but, it's nothing big enough to keep anyone from getting them installed. Personal advice, get it welded.

And you'll need a tune once you take those cats off. Coming from someone who's had both X and H, both sound great. I just liked the note of the H better than the X.

Hope you find what you're looking for bro.

Had both the X pipe and H pipe on my 2011. Going through a Heartthrob 3" system with Outlaws. Combo sounded juvenile loud with a headspliting drone. Put my GT500 Muffs back on sounded better, Put H pipes on it sounded great. Was told by everyone at Fri nite meet that that combo sounded best, deep and muscular. Sold X pipe to one of the kids, he loves it. Still have the outlaws in my attic, if anyone is interested

Was your H pipe an off road version?

Yeah I think I would get it welded for peace of mind, it's just tempting to bolt it on due to that I have a lift I can use

Use a steel sleeve-style clamp from Napa. Fold up some aluminum foil and wrap the joint first, then slide the sleeve over and clamp it down. Been that way for 4 years on my car.

If you are going to have swappable parts of your mid pipe. V band clamps or have run with leaks or impossible to get apart.

If you are a 04-down then UPR (VRS) and it isn't even close.

Did you have them welded in or just bolted on?

For those of you that have the off-road pipes welded to the X/H pipe - did you have the shop weld them together while they were on or off the car? I want to get mine welded too, but don't want to have to pull them off if I can help it.
