Trouble after brake Job

I replaced the front and rear pads and rotors. Upgraded to some Hawk HPS 5.0 pads and some centric premium rotors. and also flushed the system with some new brake fluid and Stoptech stainless lines.

Compressed the piston in the rear with the tool, installed pads and rotors, bled the RR, the LR. Moved on the the front, same thing RF first then bled LF.

Today when driving I got to work (5 miles from home) and the left rear was smoking and smelling like burnt brakes. You can tell it was real hot. I never had any indication the brakes were dragging, no pull left or right etc. The wheel spins freely when no brakes are engaged (you can hear a slight scrape but sounds like normal pad touching)

I am about to tear into it but wanted to see if anyone has any bright ideas first? Could the caliper piston be stuck or seized? Pads not seated correctly. Thanks in advance for any help you guys could provide.

maybe the inner pad (piston side) is not floating as it should and got bound when the brakes were applied?
