Need help deciding on 3.31 for Auto GT

Okay, so I know already that anything above a 3.31 in the 6R80 is over kill but how much of an improvement are the 3.31s?
I drag race my car and would love to get the best ET possible so staying in 3rd is something I would like to keep, but I also want the feeling of being knocked back on the seat hard and being able to have fun on the street. Can you really feel the difference between the 3.15's and 3.31's?

I already have a 4C Converter and full bolt one. Thanks

Unless you can do it yourself, I'd say it isn't worth the cost of the swap. The gearing change is minimal and it's well established the 6R80 doesn't benefit hugely from gearing down the rear.

For max effort 3.31's will be a good choice. I would expect about a 2/10 improvement all things being equal. Only you can determine if that's worth the expense though.

And would 3.55's be over kill? Would the shift to 4th slow my ET drastically?

I went from 373 to 331 and it felt like ****. 5c converter. Felt soft and sluggish. Have 390's now and it's rowdy...

Yes the shift into 4th will slow you down since you'll drop out of your power band as you cross the stripe.

Just because it "feels" faster doesn't mean it is faster. Heck even your tuner recently stated 3.31's were the optimal choice. And even less gear as you add power.

I have 3.73s in my sixer, so not exactly comparable. The downside is that 1st is rendered mostly useless (though fun). I'm in final gear at like 60mph (maybe there is something I haven't done to change this as I'm new?). The pull is great in 2-4 but I'd likely think the extra shifting is going to mitigate the benefits of the lower gears for what it sounds like you're trying to accomplish. I'm new though, so grain of salt.
