If you're worried about it being too loud, I have Kooks long tubes and off road X-pipe with no resonators and GT500 axle backs, they aren't too loud at all. There is drone but not horrible, but when you get on it it will scream.
To answer if it's worth it, all brands of long tubes will bring around the same power gains.

If you live in a smog state then might not be worth it. Yes you will need a tune and if your going with full exhaust you should have had the tune as MOD #1. Why people want thousands of dollars in parts and get the tune last is beyond me.

I have no problem getting a tune. Also I'd rather have the parts first and get it all done at one time then get some basic *** tune for a pretty much stock car and then buy parts and go through all the revisions and ****. I like to get a lot done at one time. It's called patience and I have a lot of it.

Getting tune revisions as you add parts is not that big a deal. I made probably close to a 100 revisions on my 2011 as I continued to test things out.

Just curious , when you add parts and your tuner revises the tune do they charge?

I feel you. It's just that if I know I'm going to be buying a lot of stuff that will require a tune I might as well wait until I have all of it and then get it all don't at one time. That's just how I think though. I know some people do different.

I do my own tuning. But all the big name tuners will give you free revisions. Many part changes though don't necessarily require any changes in the tune.

I understand. There's no right way or wrong way.

The first thing I did when I bought my car in 2012 was bought free tunes for life from AM and I know people dont always like bama tunes but Ive had no problems with them and the plan was and still is to mod my car like crazy and get as many tunes as needed, and its been great, I plan on getting it dyno tuned when im done modding it, but right now I know that maybe im running a safer tune but its ok, I thought I would be done modding by now but every time I think Im done something else pops up.

I have the Ceramic JBA LT with off road X and Flowmaster outlaws. They are loud as heck when cold start and around 2,300 RPM cruising. When pedal to the metal, it sounds like someone pissed the devil off. Are they worth it? in my opinion yes. If you know your car, you will see a noticible increase in HP with a proper Tune.

the Emission test on the inspection is what you need to worry about if you get an off road pipe. You will fail it.
