I'm a new member

Hi everyone,
Just joined this morning.
I purchased a new 2011 Mustang GT in the fall 2010. Since then I have learned enough to get me along but I always have questions about this and that but no one to bounce those questions off of so I'm taking the plunge to join in on conversations and such in the mustang knowledge base of all you folks. I learned enough to keep me going but those rough roads sometimes cost me a lot more money. I guess that is part of the game.
You all have a great day and hope that I can impress you guys with all my expert knowledge.
Scott
here are few pics of my pride and joy-

Presently 12,333. I'm not sure how those miles got there since it only goes within 15 miles of local cruise-ins. I think my wife is taking it out after I go to sleep and not telling me.

Generally I'm not a fan of white cars (even though I've owned several) but WOW! You have a beautiful steed. Welcome aboard.

Very nice. I love the white with blue stripes. Was looking for a white 50th when I bought but could only find blue 50th in a price range I was willing to pay. Would have loved to have white with the blue stripes. Nice looking ride.

Hello. I like the color of your car very much. The blue stripes go very well with the white car. The hood scoop is nice! I bought a carbon fiber hood scoop for my car. I'm going to put it on as soon as the weather gets warmer. Nice ride.

Welcome! What do you think of that Boss 302 intake? There's a lot of mixed opinions on it but I'm thinking of putting one in.

THAT IS A HARD QUESTION TO ANSWER. I guess it depends on what you are using the car for. My reason for install was keeping up with the Jones at car shows. It looks great and very impressive and that's what folks like to see. On the performance side I could feel a tad more torque off the line (street racing) but not in horsepower gains since I could not keep my foot into it long enough. You really won't know what the increase in performance is until a custom tune has been created and dyno run. If you are going to use the car for track that's a whole different story. The intake was developed for track use in the newer Boss 302 engine where the increase in torque and horsepower are two parts of the puzzle you need to stay in the game. Also, keep in mind that Ford designed the Boss 302 engine and other components specifically for race purpose. Now with that said it all depends on your reason for install. Do you want "Show and Go", "Go" or just "Show" enjoying the compliments on how it looks and what a nice job you did. Did my answer to your question help- I'm not sure.
