transmission firmness

Looking to purchase a sct tuner from lmr, i know i wont see a ton of power from this alone,it has the lund tune installed.i am looking to firm up the shifts more than anything and if i get more power thats cool too. i guess i got used to gm transmissions with the shift kit, nice firm shifts.do you think i will achieve this with the lund tune?

From what I understand if you use Lund, get an Ngauge tuner and get it straight from Lund. Not SCT.

You'll likely be happy with the Lund tune. With an x4, you can fine tune the shift pressures yourself.

Except you don't want anything SCT with the newer cars. The NGauge is way way better.

Not arguing since I use the x4. If the n gauge offers the user adjustable parameters and data logging capability of the x4, I might agree with you.

I have a newer car myself.

The Ngauge offers way more than the SCT does.

While true not everyone will take advantage of it. Some will want to just load a tune and forget about it.

Agreed but the capability is there if one needs it in the future.

Yes, Lund normally sets the wot shifts to very aggressive. I chirp third pretty good around 90 mph everytime.

Get the ngauge I have the x4 and I've been having trouble with the software that I had to download onto my computer so I decided I'm gunna sell my x4 and place a order for a ngauge(which should get here Tuesday). From what I heard the ngauge is offering way more than what a x4 offers, way easier to use no software that you need to download onto your computer, has many different gauges and you can datalog without a computer. I'm pretty stoked to receive my ngauge

Unlocked versions of the nGauge

For what it's worth!

"The Lund Racing nGauge is locked so only Lund Racing can flash and tune the device."

Apparently, "With the “open” version of the nGauge you can choose *any* HP Tuners Ford tuning specialist you want to use. You will not be locked in to using only one specific tuner so if you want to change to a different tuning specialist you can do so without having to purchase another nGuage."

This statement was taken from this site...
