Whiteline Transmission Bushing

Hey guys,

I wanted to ask if anyone has put this bushing on their Manual GT? I have it on Mine and paired with the MGW shifter it creates a deafening amount of road noise. You can hear every sound the transmission makes even the syncros! I've heard you can drill the bushing to eliminate the road noise or is it better to just take it off? Anyone have any advice? Thanks a million for your time and input!

If it bothers you, take it out. I have the Steeda trans bushing and I love it. It's a performance part, not a comfort part

I have it along with an MGW non race spec. If you have the race spec there is absolutely no reason to use the whiteline bushing.
With my non race-spec, I do notice a little bit of extra trans noise but it is by no means deafening. I can only hear it with music off and windows up at gentle acceleration.

I put one in and..

I put one in and followed the Drill out a circle in the middle notation. I would say as easy as it was to install. I would take it out and drill the one section. I followed the below link and used a hole saw blade. ( like used for doors). I've not heard any more road noise than before..

I have heard a number of complaints of increased NHV with the Whiteline insert. I have the Steeda version, I am assuming it is a softer durometer material because I haven't noticed any increase in NHV using it.

It works great, I would get locked out of 3rd or 5th about 1 in 4 shifts during aggressive driving. Since installing the Steeda insert I haven't had any.

I'm not sure the Whiteline bushing is all of the problem. I had the Whiteline bushing in my 14 TrakPak and used the OE shifter........not much more than stock regarding the noise level. I'd take it out and drill the hole like was mentioned.........or just take it out totally since you the MGW shifter.

I ended up removing it and all the noise was gone thank the Lord! The MGW RaceSpec Shifter is very quiet. Interior almost sounds stock!
