2012 mustang gt steering modes

Hi, and thanks in advance for your help. Can anyone explain how the Comfort, Standard, and Sport modes differ in feel, driving feedback, and steering wheel return action after turning?

I leave mine set to sport all the time. I don't know how to really describe it other than sport just has an overall stiff/tight steering feel, then standard less than that, then comfort the least.

I agree - it is so responsive and just feels good and tight. My husband also has his set on Sport. We tried the others and just didn't care for them.

How do the settings change wheel return action after you complete a turn?

Both mine and my husbands are 2014 but I can't imagine that matters much. It is so responsive after making a turn. It seems to be very effortless. I have no problem downshifting with one hand and turning with the other. I don't know if that helps - hard to describe - the other two settings just seemed too loose and seem to to need more steering by me.

Haven't noticed much difference. I have a 2015 GT Premium/PP.

I test drove a 13 Vert (5.0 Prem auto) last night at the dealer. I drove around first in comfort, felt the same as my 2011 GT (base). After I started playing with the settings I clicked into Sport, felt a little tighter but not Euro tight. If I ever have an issue with my steering I am going to have a manual rack put in.

the only difference is the effort it takes to turn the wheel. it doesn't do anything else. I've had it on comfort ever since i bought it. makes driving my BMW seem like a work out lol.

Sport really feels like a little more drag and makes the car tend to follow road imperfections a bit more. It's not a Porsche, the feedback isn't super great but, for Ford's first foray into electric steering it is pretty good. I've had two of these, a '12 and a '14, both BBP so, I can't speak to how the regular car's steering feels.
