Wasn't sure what you meant, I replaced the stock shift knob with a white Roush model, I like the way it looks and feels.

I was definitely talking about the shifter below the knob. But the knob is a nice touch!

It feels good to go from the 3.7 to the 5.0. I did too a month ago, same color too lol.

Welcome to the family.
First thing I bought was exhaust, guy before me had some ghetto setup with the mufflers cut out

Ha he straight piped it?

I'm looking at a new exhaust too, only because it's just a tad too quiet for my taste. Probably going with ATAKS as of now.

Ataks are not close to a straight pipe in my opinion. I had the GT set and I now have the GT500 set. They are very quiet in the cabin while cruising but when you get on it they sound amazing. Straight pipe sounds like well...unrefined and loud. Just loud. I highly recommend the Ataks

They are flipping loud if you do anything else to the exhaust, bellowingly so....

Pretty much anything with any ki d of noise cancelling is fine at cruise on these cars.

That quad exhaust is uffff, I'm a little jealous. Can the GT500 mufflers be put on a GT or is the exhaust pipe wider on the 500?

The biggest issue I had with my sixxer was the drone from the Pype Bombs. I know I know, everyone knew about it. I got a great deal on them though so I learned to live with it.

Just gt500. Ab. All stock otherwise. I'm 50 and my cars an auto so noise control is important.

I also shoved his same exhaust setup into the 11s at 115 on my last car. I like to under promise and over deliver.

If I want to do more exhaust work and tuning down the road, I am well positioned with these mufflers because they will alwyas have good sound, whatever the volume, without getting raspy or blatty. I know what ATAKs sound like when you add in headers or an off road; they are hardcore.

Congrats on the upgrade though. And I agree with prior posts. Change out that stock shifter. I did mine in the garage flying solo, not really a big deal. Worth every cent and every second.

Sorry, I know this just went a little off topic. Gotta appreciate a good laugh.

I prefer the sound of the Corsa Sport GT500 Axleback Quad exhaust. No drone at all but when you go WOT - plenty loud. First start it up and everyone in the area looks. Great sound and great look. My husband also has a 2014 GT/CS Premium and is putting in the same exhaust system. Music to your ears. Plus the longer you break it in - the louder I think it gets. LOL. Mine is on the left.

bought both exhaust systems at AM - they rock!

The gt500 fits no problem. Only modification required is the cutting of the bumper to accommodate the gt500 diffuser. The over the axle pipe is the same size.

Everyone has their own taste. I have a '14 with the fully painted bumper and I'd be unwilling to cut out that whole section and replace it with oem gritty black plastic like my '12 had down its sides. There's enough black out back there with the license surround in my view. I also kind of feel quad tips are a bit much for me. The two big singles on my GT500s fill the bumper holes nicely and don't stick out too far.

I know this is nitpicky, but all 13-14 GT/CS's come with the premium package.

He did a Muffler delete, it still had the cats and resonators.

Check out MBRP Race Series "Catback" Exhaust. Its not really a true catback because it connects at the midpipe, but man does that 3" exhaust sound good.

Its cheaper than most axleback systems too.

MBRP even makes an H-pipe and Long Tube headers

I would highly recommend a catch can as a first mod. There is a video about the JLT vs others. I installed mine in the dealers lot in less than 10mins, then hit the road for 1800 miles to bring the car home. It scared me to see how much was oil in the cup.

Finally moved up to a 5.0

Lowering springs/axle backs are good starts.

As for blow by via the PCV line on the PASSENGER side, the REVISED JLT catch can is a good investment. I must say that breathers - less than half the cost of the JLT - will do the job just as well, maybe better since the breathers give no physical path for oil to pass. You never know if the JLT catch can is truly catching all of the oil.

I've been running breather for 10K+ miles and I haven't had oil build up issues.

Hope this helps!

Breathers make the car stink and they do lightly mist the engine over time. Using breathers on a car that's not forced induction in 2016 is totally unnecessary.

There are better catch cans out there but JLT is plug and play, which is attractive. I found the can collected a fair bit on my 2012 but, the 2014 auto I have now doesn't use any oil, since it isn't in the overrun very often and tends to operate daily at lower engine rpms.

So for my first mods, I went with a Moroso catch can mainly because it bolts to the car, and hood struts. Should be here by Friday, ready to be put on Saturday morning!

I read up on breathers too but the biggest issue I read about is the oil that would end up on the valve cover, which is where I prefer the can.

If you have the boss strut bar it won't fit with the catch can.
