rotor rust that wont come off

Had my car parked outside for couple month while i was away, rust on rotors build up pretty good. I drove around the block few times and did some hard braking but its not completely gone. I can see and feel the layer rust thats on the surface of all rotor, the inner side is silky smooth tho. Any tips and tricks?

Little more time. Take a trip around town or you can ride the brake lightly going down the road. Won't take long to clean up but ain't gonna happen around the block.

What BB13 said. Give it more time. Don't worry about it. It will be gone soon.

Wipe it off with naval jelly and a really good wash with brake clean if it's too unsightly...otherwise, just hammer the brakes good and hard a couple times.
