What color to do Brembos?

Alright, I know this has been covered a few times before, but I can't decide, and my friends all have different opinions too. I've got Brembos going on, and I'm going to have them powder coated before they go on, and I have the rears off so I can match them as well. I was kind of set on red, but that's very common (although that's because it does look good) so I have some other ideas too. Help me decide. My car is Deep Impact Blue, and wheels are being done now too, Forgestar CF5 in a dark gunmetal/titanium. Attached pictures for comparison, between red, yellow, gold, or orange. Thanks for the members who's cars these happen to be.

Couldn't find orange on a Mustang, maybe orange will turn my car into a lambo! But this wheel color is almost exactly the color my Forgestars are going to be.

The "gold/bronze" one is mine. The color is actually called translucent copper. It's a silver base under that color. It looks great in the sun. I still haven't installed mine. Gotta stop being lazy.

Not every color is for everyone. Whatever you choose, it's going to look cool.

Red or yellow both look good on blue.

Copper/bronze or orange, looks like something jury rigged / aftermarket.

Red is more common and looks more like a stock / OEM upgraded brake package.

FYI, on Porsche's the caliper colors are:

Black = base models (non S)
Red = S models and higher
Yellow = carbon ceramic $8k upgraded brakes

And on the GT350's:

Black = non-R
Red = on GT350R

yellow/orange. Then get a matching shift knob (or other accent piece) to tie it in.

I'm sure I find it funnier than you that we've managed to pick every color you suggested.

Brake Color Wheel Samples

I copied the wheel color that you want/have. I used the Dark Impact Blue with a Color Wheel. When using a color wheel the colors directly across from the base color are the ones pleasing to the eye. Instead of someone focusing on a color that is so standout from the rest of the color scheme you'll loose the look of what you are trying to accomplish. This only a suggestion. Each to his/her own eye.
Hope this helps.

I voted Red on your poll. However I have an idea. How about blue caliper, Polished or silver on flat where lettering is, then red letters. I think that would make yours really pop and you would not see many or any like it.

With the results it seems like most people to gravitate back to red. I also like c_rizzle's reasoning. Strang Mud unfortunately already bought a blue shift knob haha, not s bad idea though. I guess I'll stick with red, probably better than taking a gamble on a color and then hating it and having $300 down the drain. Now the part that's probably even harder, deciding on the type of red.

Red sounds like a good choice. Is it uncommon to match the caliper color to the car? Such as a blue for his Deep Impact blue.

I've seen it done, but I think the caliper, as a performance piece, should kind of pop, which is why I personally don't want to color match it.

Look up Brembo Caliper colors on the net then click on images. There a whole bunch of different colors. Maybe something will fit your liking.

I also think the matte black with white letting would look good. If you want them to stand out, maybe semigloss or gloss black with white lettering. I went with gloss black and white lettering for mine to match my Boss wheels.

Those are pretty cool! I ended up going with red, but keeping the bolts, crossovers, etc. black, basically anything that comes off. I'll throw some pictures up when I get them back, should be this week.

Great job! Here are mine...not powder coated though. I rebuilt mine and painted them with caliper paint, black then clear. Did my 94's brakes years ago the same and they help up well.
