Boss intake

I've tried to search this here with no luck. I'm thinking about getting the boss intake, but want to know what king of Hp I will get for my $500 bucks. I have cai, BBK Lt headers, BBK catted X-pipe, Corsa sport exhaust and 373 in the rear. Is it worth the money??

Unless you raise the rev limit to take advantage of it, there isn't much to be had here. You need to raise it to at least 7500 and that's getting close to the limit of what the valvetrain will take without some changes, like heavier springs.

There's a sticky at the top of the forum on this. Start reading.

Install of the Boss 302 intake manifold!

I believe AED said there was a 60whp gain at 7500 rpm over the stock manifold, this is not peak gain, but sustained horsepower.

Ultimately the overall peak and under the curve gains are going to be dependent on your tuner...I am seeing about 55lbs/min on the Cobra Jet manifold at 7700rpm, this is a whopping 13lbs more than the stock one so it is defiantly brining in more air than the stocker was.

STEP 1, Go to Google and type in Boss intake manifold.
STEP 2, Get lost in the never ending links about the Boss intake.
STEP 3, soak in the info and decide its not worth it unless you wind that Bitc^ out to 7500+.

Thanks guys. revving to 7500 will be more parts than just an intake. Grabber I did start reading that sticky and quit thinking it was install info...sooo I went back and finished it! Thanks.

If you plan on ever using Nitrous the Boss intake works very well for that too.

I rev out to 7700 on mine with the CJ manifold. Runs like a champ, but you will need to invest in a blowfish mount or a MGW shifter bc the tranny flex will kill any chances of you landing your next gear...

Love my boss intake and raising the rev to 7500 really made a huge difference. Happy with my choice.
