P0300 Code - '12 Mustang GT M6

Recently had a new clutch/flywheel installed, one piece DS, clutch line, brakes, and oil changed. Got the car back and CEL came on after about a 10 min drive. Drove back to shop and pulled a P0300 Random Misfire code. Cleared the code. It's been about a week since then and now the code is back. Read up a little on it and noticed a lot of PCM issues. Would any of the above mods/maint. done contribute to the random misfire? I would think not but just looking for confirmation.

Can't see any of that stuff effecting it. I would try checking the cops first.

Speculating that the lightened flywheel could cause the CPS to be thrown off. Anybody confirm?

Don't take anything apart...just get an crank profile relearn done. You can do this yourself if you have an X4. If not, off to beg the dealer. Takes about 15 minutes. Everybody wants to screw around with probably close to the most reliable thing on the car, the stock COPs.

Can you do the crank profile relearn with a Ford Racing Pro Cal tuner?

Nope, only an idle profile relearn, which won't help here.

I went up to the dealership since I don't have a handheld. They told me they might not be able to perform the relearn for the crank position sensor and if they do, it could overwrite my current tune. I bought the car back in August with a BAMA tune already on it.

yer ****ed. Without a handheld, the stock tune is lost. Your only option here is to have them overwrite the tune, force the car back to stock and buy another handheld unit with a tune of your choice.

You can do the crank relearn without touching the tune that's in there.

Also the Procal does have the capability to do it as well as an SCT X4.

Procal is an idle profile relearn. Not the same as a crank sensor relearn.

The ProCal can absolutely do the relearn.
Under Programming - go to Profile Relearn, hit enter. It will throw a CEL. Blip throttle a few times above 3k RPM until the CEL disappears. All done.

That's the IDLE profile relearn; not the crank sensor relearn. AFAIK, these are not the same thing.
