What's the best lower grille for an intercooler?

Hello all, I'll be installing a vortech kit very soon, and I wanted some opinions from some of you fine gents as to what my best option is to fit the intercooler in there both visually, and functionality wise. I'm currently looking at Cervini's GT500 rep version. Looks to be very free flowing and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It also comes with some mesh grating to hopefully deter some of that wretched road debris. Any and all opinions are welcomed...thanks in advance

Eric,

Also wanted to add, I know the OEM grille probably flows really well, I just can't stand the look, so let's get that out of the way lol.

I did the roush lower grille delete and it comes with a VERY sturdy intercooler bracket. I obviously don't have an intercooler yet, but I think the roush set up is very well built and looks great. Downside, yeah it's wide the heck open no mesh. I haven't had issues with that though.

First off, the car looks flippin phenomenal. Almost looks like a 15' with the narrow stripes. Yeah, I can tell the Roush piece looks legit, I'm just worried about damaging the fins over time. Also that price point isn't the most attractive to me lol. I'm almost half-tempted to do an arts and crafts project with my stocker...I don't know. We'll see lol. Thanks for the input broski

Stay off dirt roads and everyone else's bumper bro-tato chip and you shouldn't have to worry about the fins.

Lol gotcha Bro Namath! Lol I live in Western MA, the roads are crap. To get to the track and car meets I 99.9% of the time have to use the highway, so damage is definitely plausible. I've seen it first hand on some of my buddies cars. I just want to be safe, and not sorry. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the CDC lower GT500. Comes with the mesh, looks pretty sweet, and is functional. Win win.

.
After reading a thread on the SVTP site, $ 2200.00 heat exchanger repair bill, I thought $ 60.00 was pretty cheap for insurance.
Went in the day after delivery customcargrills.com - Custom Car and Truck Grills - Mesh Grill Sheets and More!

Whoever paid that much to repair or replace a heat exchanger has more money than sense. Lol. You can get a heat exchanger from Shelby's Ebay page for practically nothing and it's less than 2 hours for a guy with a 7mm socket and a Philips screwdriver. I do like your mesh tho.

That mesh does look great and is a small price to pay for a bit of insurance. I ordered the CDC lower. Should be here by Wednesday

The Roush intercooler bracket will have to be removed to fit the Paxton/vortech intercooler. It still looks the best though and gets my vote.

No problems with rocks or road debris here either.

While the Roush delete does look great, I'm glad I went with the CDC and saved myself that 100$ that I just would've thrown away by not using the brackets and hardware.
