OPG's....which brand?

Good morning ladies and gents, I'm going to be purchasing billet oil pump gears soon to install before the vortech goes in. I've heard and read all about TSS and MMR, I've found a third brand "Boundary" that just so happens to be 100$ cheaper than their competitors. I've been doing a bit of research on them and it seems to me that quite a bit of R&D have gone into these gears. I was wondering if anyone was running them with a centri supercharger set up and what your thoughts were. Beefcake racing sells them and that's actually where I bought my kit from. Thanks in advance for any advice, or info pertaining to the subject.

Eric,

Lol ok! Any personal experience with them, or know of anyone using them in their builds? I mean they're heat rested 4140 billet chromoly so I figured I couldn't go wrong. I've heard a few horror stories about MMR's...

Tons of ppl on Modularfords recommend them. I have a Teksid block and will be going with the GT500 pump with Boundary Gears. They make the pump practically indestructible.

I've done a lot of reading on gears for these engines and AFIAK there are still no reported gear failures with them. Research yourself if you want, as this is coming from someone who doesn't have personal experience with them... yet...

As for MMR... MMR=Might Make Raceday. There are only a few things I would buy from them and pump gears are not one of them. Pretty much only things where there will be no moving parts like their coolant crossovers or something like that.

MMR or tSS

I had a lot of MMR's parts on my coyote. Their products were good. Customer service isn't.

I was thinking MMR originally basically because they were right in the middle of the spectrum, but I think I'm going to go with Boundary's gears. And I can't see paying 200$ extra for TSS's for damn near the same product with the same tolerances. Terry at beefcake has been great so far and he sells them. This is more of an insurance modification regardless as I will not be changing out manifolds to rev any higher than the stock limiter and simply don't plan on pinging it off of it day and night lol. This car's purpose is a DD with 2 maybe 3 track days (drag strip) per year. As always though I appreciate everyone's input.

No need to imo. The 3v pump itself is stout as hell. Boundary gears just make it that much more cray.

Yeah but much of their stuff is just repackaged. Rather get it from the source if possible. Customer service does suck and that alone should kinda make one want to take business elsewhere.

Well boys I just made my purchase. I went with the Boundary OPG's from beefcake. I'm just about 5 weeks into my wait from ordering the kit and everything's out so I may as well get a jump on these when they arrive beforehand.

Not really honestly. A lot of the stuff is made in house.
The actual products are good. Just they are shady on info with cams ect. But they do make good stuff. Just $$ for most

Oh ok. Here's hoping I'll be ok haha. I don't really NEED or want anything more than 550rwhp and like I stated earlier, this is going to be daily driven the majority of the time. Just trying to be a little safer than sorry.

That's why I decided to make a post to see if I could gather a bit more info before I made a purchase with Boundary. I don't think I could really go wrong in this situation so we'll see how it pans out.

That's good to hear. Definitely going to triple and quadruple check everything to make sure everything is buttoned up before I turn that key.
