I don't want to get it if it's going to be off color. I've seen some bad paint jobs on white cars, and you can tell the hood is a different color white lol

Cervinis Pre-Painted Hood

I saw a post where it matched perfectly in the sun but under fluorescent light it was a shade off. No matter what you do it will not be factory perfect unless you take it to a shop and have it blended with the car.

Well that's not bad then. I'm only under fluorescent light at the gas station late at night

Would it be cheaper to have it blended if it's off or just get an unpainted one and have a shop do it all?

Cheapest route and easiest is to get it done by cervinis but it could be a hair off if the car has seen a lot of sun.

Blending needs to be done with the hood being painted as well so this will most likely be more expensive but I would suggest an unpaintedhood. Unless you have a buddy who is good at paint work and will give you a deal.

Thanks for the info, I'm not sure which route I'm gonna take I am wanting to get it done quick cause I'm tired of driving with a banged up hood.

I'd just go the cervinis route that way you don't lose use of the vehicle and it's usually a good match.

I hope so lol.
My intention is to get rid of the stripes, and I think my hood is damaged from where the previous owner installed the stripes. Used an F'ing straight razor on some parts on my trunk lid forsure, around the 3rd brake light. And Maybe on the hood in a few spots.

My Cervinis Ducktail spoiler was prepainted by them and I have zero complaints on the paint quality, matter of fact to me its 100x better than what Ford is doing on our cars.

I never noticed any shadding differences but I dont have any florescent lights to test that.

Did u install the hood yourself? Doesn't look hard but I am having body shop install the spoiler so I figured they would do the rest of my stuff too.

The spoiler isnt bad to install if you are removing a stock spolier and replacing with an aftermarket. I did it on my 2012 3.7 no problem. just getting the adhesive off the car is the worst part. get some goo gone

I was worried about the end Caps. Worried about them being straight and also about getting it to adhere correctly to the car.

The body shop said it would be under 250 to install. But I wanted that money for a h pipe. I think I can handle the whole install but I do not want to mess anything up. Especially the latch on the hood

Oh yeah that looks a little more tricky. Mine was just the GT500 spoiler

I installed both. Not bad if you have a little help and already have holes for spoiler. I only had to drill two into trunk lid.
